Mike Vennart states that "Commemorative ____ T-Shirt" - originally entitled "Commemorative 9/11 T-Shirt" - doesn't have "anything to do with 9/11. I was sold a t-shirt by the singer of the Cardiacs. On the label it read 'For ages 9-11', and when he sold it to me he said "oh, here's one of our commemorative 9/11 teeshirts," so I got thinking about what sort of person would wear a 9/11 teeshirt. Someone who's not really looking to the future.[8]

This. It's still "Commemorative ____ T-Shirt" though, and should be called that.

Who gives a shit?  I call it 9/11

Too bad that I already have a copy of the album. :/

Sell it on, give it to a charity shop, give it to a friend.

I would probably get the signed copy if I had mastercard/VISA or whatever, but I've been seriously slacking on getting that.

I feel like this thread has been drifting slightly offtopic lately.

Anyhow, Getting Where Water Cannot is such an underrated tune, it would most likely end up in my top5 Oceansize-songs.  :hat

Shouldn't be too hard to find, no matter if you're downloading or buying it. ;)
It's pretty common in stores, sadly that does not apply to Music For Nurses which is much more rare, but still probably obtained through Amazon or similar sites.

Home and Minor is pretty awesome.  Really nice to hear a mellow side to their work.

I'm still kicking myself for having never heard Music for Nurses, though.  Gotta make that a priority.

Music For Nurses is considered by many to be their best release, so I mean, judging by that, it's obviously something you should hear.
Even if you may not like it as much as others. ;)

I've settled on Long Forgotten as my favourite off of Effloresce. Massive Bereavement is amazing, but it doesn't really belong up there with the quasi-minimalist epics like Music For A Nurse, Ornament/the Last Wrongs and The Frame. If I were to rank my favourite songs they would be:

Music For A Nurse
The Frame
Ornament/the Last Wrongs
Long Forgotten

Those are really "The Big Four" I guess.

I've also been listening to Self Preserved... and I've gained an appreciation for Oscar Acceptance speech. It just ends so beautifully.

Silent/Transparent is also really great

Self Preserved is much better then people give it credit for, I'd say it's on par with the rest.
Silent/Transparent is actually my favorite, though Oscar Acceptance Speech is really darn fantastic as well.
It took some time to grow on me, but like the whole album it was really rewarding.  :hefdaddy
