He was joking, come on  :lol

Speaking of jokes, I won't mention the song 'cause fake accounts don't deserve publicity, but I stumbled upon a "new song" which was a mashup of the instrumental parts of two older DT songs (and got fooled some of the commenters). Of course it's despicable to draw attention to oneself pretending to have a new song, but at the very least, some creativity went into composing that fake song, which I guess could have seemed legitimate to the casual fan.
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

How's this for sequels:

The Hand that killed
Thanks for pulling me under
Liberated from the web
Reappear
As I no longer am
Put the fortress back together
Changed my mind, build me up again

If a tracklist was out earlier, then the idea "we don't know the sequence, but we know the closer" would be outdated.

I'm sure they (meaning DT themselves and IO) should know by now.
"All my natural instincts are begging me to stop
But somehow I carry on, heading for the top
A physical absurdity, a tremendous mental game
Helping me understand exactly who I am"

I think that interview was filmed a while back (Jordan is wearing the same clothes he had in the video where they revealed that the treasure hunt is over and in the picture he posted with the guys from haken). So I would imagine that they know the tracklist by now.

Of course, maybe JR just used the same outfit some days after.

Well that was a long time ago and has no bearing now.
To me it only says that they did not know the tracklist while still in the studio some months ago.

I guess your thinking is that they would not want to release the tracklist before this interview?

Yeah, it was clearly filmed while they were still in the studio so it’s a few weeks old. I’m sure Jordan’s comments about record companies having input into recent albums won’t generate any discussion! Surprised he came out with that little nugget of information.

Yeah, that's an interresting little tidbit. Seems like they are actually getting some outside feedback even though they still have no outside producer.

Yes that was exactly my thinking.

And now that this interview portion is out, we can expect a tracklist any day now unless in Part 2 they say something like "We still don't know the tracklist"

Edit: Ninja'd several times  :lol

This video was recorded while they were at the studio. They finished recording and left Yonderbarn for two months now... If right now they're in the process of mastering the album, they absolutely have the tracklist sequence.

Not unless "Part 2" is still in the Yonderbarn from 2 months ago

I think bosk posted the wrong link. It's this one:

As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

Yeah, I don't see a co-headlining tour either.  But I wouldn't be at all disappointed to see QR open for DT.

Would rather see Fates Warning open for DT.

They are on Inside Out now.....

Look at for instance Spock's Beard Noice Floor or The Sea Within.
Shortish albums with a bonus CD. It's impossible to buy a version without the bonus and the bonus could have fit on the CD itself.

I wonder if this is going to be the case here as well?

Noise Floor

CD 52.13
Bonus 17.17

Sea Within

CD 50.44
Bonus 26.35

I thought James said "THE bonus track" which sounds to me like just one song which shows up as hidden track at the end of the regular CD.  I guess he could still say that if there were multiple bonus tracks.

I have no idea, just speculating. :dunno:

Dream Theater and Opeth confirmed for Poland - Prog In Park in Warsaw, second half of July. It's the same festival that Sons Of Apollo cancelled their show couple months ago. I'll be there for sure but I'm looking forward to see DT also in An Evening With gig, gotta see SFAM live....

I remember falling so hard for this back in day.  Sfogli sounding more like Petrucci than really anyone on Earth helped a lot.

It sounds like, "ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk." Instead of the more pleasing kick drum sound of, "gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk."

So, yesterday, Freddy "thanked" the New York Times for making a cover so similar to the album's artwork, and even tagged three of the journalists. One of them replied. You can read their brief exchange here:

Wow, I thought the Freddy account was only for the treasure hunt and wouldn't be used again.  I've stopped checking it.

Is the new role for it to be an advocate for DT online or something?  :lol
