:o “pale blue dot”  :metal

DT referencing one of my favorite speech/picture, cannot get any better. I hope it’s a good song, maybe it will be similar to “The great debate” in terms of structure.

Same here, I LOVE that speech and if it was up to me, it should be printed and hung in the wall of EVERY head of state in the world. I'm looking very forward to listening to this!

Epic at the end of the album with words referencing to a famous cientist? Reminds me a lot of A7X's Exist

It means nothing, but the track names are really cool!
Just a fun fact, JLB already wrote lyrics to a song with the title out of reach, named "slightly out of reach". Well, slightly ;D

So, judging by the available information - as far as lyrics goes;

Untethered Angel, Barstool Warrior and Pale Blue Dot is written by JP, Room 137 is written by Mangini, At Wit's End and Out of Reach written by LaBrie.

That leaves Paralyzed, Fall Into The Light and at least two songs we don't know the title for yet - and I believe they said JM wrote lyrics for two.

Pretty cool to see this kind of team contribution on this album after The Astonishing. I'm stoked!

Also, is it just new album euphoria or the themes discussed for the songs seem innovative and interesting? not being afraid to live your dreams, the pale blue dot, women abuse, people sitting at the bar wishing they had done something different.... it feels so fresh and unexpected for DT!
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

I heard there’s even a hidden track, a 10 minute John Myung spoken word track. Something we’ve never seen before!
It sounds like, "ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk." Instead of the more pleasing kick drum sound of, "gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk."

My biggest reason why I'm really excited for this new album. Heavier and more stripped album is also good news to me.

I think I'm most excited for "Room 137", simply because I'm curious how well Mangini stacks up as a lyricist against JP and the rest.

Has MM done lyrics with other bands before DT? Because if not, then it's especially exciting.  ;D

Plus LaBrie wrote the lyrics to the bonus track, three overall.  Is that included in the 'at least two songs' we don't the title of or is that a separate thing?

Well, there's plenty of information out there about what the subject matter of the song is, so that should give some clues as to the lyrical content.

So, is wit's end or pale blue dot the longest song? The latter is just sounding epic, or it's an actual epic?

Also, last time we got a single way before the track times

I'm gonna guess it'll be like Learning to Live and Breaking All Illusions. Not an epic, but very epic.

I'm liking those song titles, pretty interesting.

I'm also curious to hear MM lyrics, simply because he's a new lyrical voice in the band.

Seems to be a Shining reference - Google autocompletes to "room 137 the shining."

Room 137 in the Shining: https://www.museyon.com/hotel-of-horror-the-shining/

Other uses of the phrase "room 137" are titles of other songs and short films - by much obscurer artists it looks like, so the Shining is the meaningful reference.

Room 137 features nowhere in The Shining. In the novel it was room 217 (the room King and his wife were staying in when he conceived the book's plot) which Kubrick changed to room 237 for the film.

Maybe it's a song about some hotel guests asking the dead child-molesting lady in the room above them to keep the noise down.

No time to do it myself, but some clever DTFer could check in the DT drummer auditions videos whether there's a shot of Mangini's hotel room's number?

DT referencing one of my favorite speech/picture, cannot get any better. I hope it’s a good song, maybe it will be similar to “The great debate” in terms of structure.

Any similarity at all to "The Great Debate" would be hugely disappointing.
