The Dodgers: Good enough to win the west, but not much else.  Have lost the last two DS.  I love Kershaw, but he has a bad playoff history.  Rich Hill is good, he might get a win.  Maeda has a season ERA of 3.4, so he could get lit.  Then for game 4 there's Kershaw on short rest or a kid rookie.  Even if the Nats are banged up, it's nothing to be confident about.

Long balls all day for the Jays this afternoon. Texas is some serious trouble if Pillar and Carrera are beating them with homers

Price has to be the worst postseason pitcher ever (relative to expectations, salary and his spot in rotations, of course).

It doesn't look good for them.

And how brilliant is MLB, to have a playoff game on the first weekend of the playoffs on MLB Network, a station many fans do not have? :lol :lol :lol :lol

It has been that way for years.  The last time the Tigers played the A's in the postseason is when I discovered that I had the MLB Network!

A problem we encountered this year: after basically 'cutting the cord', we no longer get ESPN, TBS, FS1, the local baseball sports network, etc.  I was going to get the MLB.TV online $9.99 package for the playoffs........except, Comcast/Xfinity is not tied in with MLB.

IF I had the package, today's Dodgers/Nats game is blacked out in the US.  wtw?

MLB is really shooting itself for not providing telecasts to a large market who have dialed down/can't afford premium cable.  And I don't understand why ESPN and TBS/TNT  are no longer part of the basic packages.  Well, yes I do $$$$$   But, man, I just dig the 50 music and two dozen religious channels I still get.

Will have to wait and see the Cubs and Jays in the WS I guess.....

I'm a cubs fan since 1981. I can guarantee you that it will only get worse if they do finally win it. And yes, many of us know that it's annoying.

I have a perspective that gets a few strange looks at work whenever I mention this (because most in STL want to see the Cubs lose in spectacular fashion again): while I will giggle and enjoy it when/if they lose, if they did win it all, it would be a cool sports story. And my niece is a Cubs fan (my brother married a Chicago girl, and my nephew ended up a Cards fan, my niece a Cubs fan), so it would be fun for her.

I can imagine that many of the Yankees fans probably felt the same way when Boston finally won a championship again a few years back.

I can tell you that back in 2004 there wasn't a single Yankee fan that I knew who was even remotely happy about Boston winning. Of course it doesn't help that they beat the Yankees in the AL Championship after being down 3-0.

Sox very uptight all series and the young kids in Cleveland were not fazed.  Congratulations Indians fans.  They were great.

The Sox out more emphasis on that final weekend to the Papipalooza than they did on winning. They could've done two things. They could've secured home field for this round, and they could've knocked out the Jays. As usual, it's all about the "show".

And BTW...I love this man!
