You wouldn't have needed to add the latter, because
It's nothing to do with the lyrics or the composition.

Yeah, it is! I didn't remember the guest musician thing, but it might be the correct answer.

Again, some really interesting facts are coming out of these guesses, but still no correct answer.

All three are preceded by a song over 10 minutes on the albums they're on.
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

Each song has appeared on a live DVD only once?

It might be giving too much away now, but the clue is nothing to do with a live song performance either.

Octavarium
Through Her Eyes
Vacant

:dangerwillrobinson: vowel, consonant, vowel??

Otherwise-

2. melodies from other songs

 I was thinking of this, then said "naahh" because I didn't hink it was the case for THE, but then I checked...

SONG PLAYED DURING THE CLOSING CREDITS OF THE DVD'S OF THEIR RESPECTIVE ALBUMS! :dangerwillrobinson:

edit: and it's the instrumentals of these songs

DING DING DING, WE HAVE A WINNER!

THE was technically an alternate version, but it was still the same song.

The songs all mention waking up (6:00 and surrounded in the lyrics, AFIL in samples)

There are references to dreams in the three songs:

Fortune in Lies: "...everything was right in my world... and then I woke up"
6:00: "Six o'clock the siren kicks him from a dream"
Surrounded: "Dreams are shaking Set sirens waking up tired eyes"

pretty close. It's just that they all three say "siren".

And you just listed the right line in 2 out of the 3 songs haha

So your turn, I want mine to be over  :lol

They all start in the key of Ab minor.

They also all start with the note of Ab, I believe.

Something related to that.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

It can't be a coincidence that they all significantly feature Ab!
