Oh, you thought it was that easy?

Yeah, I did.

Instrumental part that's longer than two and half minutes?

HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS? :O

No, not what I was going for. We don't even know song lengths yet.

Nah, I could have picked Octavarium instead of any track here and it wouldn't make a difference.

The track length was confirmed to be 2:42, and it's completely instrumental.

Oh, I didn't know the length was confirmed, but I knew it was fully instrumental. So, although all guesses have been technically correct so far, none of them was what I was going for.

Three movements each?

EDIT: okay no, that doesn't work in Octavarium's case.

EDIT 2: uneven number of movements?

3 or 5 movements each?

That's hardly a unifying theme, is it? Especially considering ITPOE Pt. II has 4 movements.

No! :lol

Also, for clarification, Octavarium is not part of the Tribond, although it *could* be. It should be solveable with just Trial of Tears, False Awakening Suite and ITPOE II. It's a bit stupid, but I really didn't think it would be this hard :p

At least one of the movements is instrumental?

EDIT: again, doesn't work in 8VM's case

EDIT 2: 3 movements + 5 movements = 8
nuggetz?

Nope

EDIT: again, doesn't work in 8VM's case

Indeed.

EDIT 2: 3 movements + 5 movements = 8
nuggetz?

No. It's something that applies to all three in the Tribond separately - and if you will it can apply to Octavarium as well. 'Quatrobond'!

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the movements, right?

To whoever posted the last round, do you still want people to guess, or can I go ahead and add a new one involving the new set of songs? :P

As for a possible answer to the last round: all song titles bear similarity to an album title.

Trial of Tears = Train of Thought
In the Presence of Enemies, Pt. 2 = Metropolis, Pt. 2
False Awakening Suite = Awake
Octavarium = Octavarium

(I doubt this is the answer, but what the heck.)

Oh wow, this thread has been dug up again :lol
And still unsolved!

It has something to do with the movements and their titles; nothing with the actual music.

Trial of Tears has 3 movements, ITPoE Pt.2 has 4 movements and FAS has 3 movements again.

Could it be that they all have instrumental sections in them? FAS is all instrumental, so it fits the bill.

Uhh... names... I really can't figure it out right now.

Maybe it's that ITPoE Pt.2 ends at the 6th movement, while both Trial of Tears and FAS add up to 6 movements?

Or they all start off really heavy and dark but then come into a lighter, happier ending? Not sure with Trial of Tears, tbh.

Well that's all for bad ideas today.

The final movements have 3 syllables in all of their names.

3 syllables in the third and final movements of each song. I think that's a good one.
