So it was the last song to get cut from the 2.5 group. I really liked it. It earned a demerit on those initial harsh(?) vocals. But I found the song quite entertaining. Ariich didn't have great vocals, but I thought his music was stronger.
And WTF is up with that album cover?

The album cover is BRILLIANT  It's one of those that are so WTF bad that you can't quite believe it made the cut.

Yeah, the "harsher" vocals are not great, I agree. That was still the band leader Cristofer Johnsson doing them (Therion was generally more "extreme" in previous albums)...then he stopped for a while, as the band's music got more and more symphonic.

I believe the cleaner vocals in this song (and others in the album) are by the drummer. Dan Swano does guest vocals in a couple songs.

But yes, "entertaining" is a good way to put it. Love the overall pace of the song and the main riff, as well as the chorus, with the heavy/clean guitars combo.

So I wanted to get back to this. This was the song I needed to hear everytime I opened the playlist. It was standing there in the end with the three metal songs, and honestly, I'll probably revisit that song more post roulette.

Just goes to show that in the vacuum of a roulette round, any song can unexplainably strike a chord.


James...I have no clue on this band, and I may not end up liking them, but what should I check out next by them. This was a really unique song that I really dug.  You should've sent it for the main round.
