Considering that learning by mimicking stuff like a parrot is a terrible idea, and Mangini isn't teaching the song itself but a concept (used when composing the song), yeah, no. Definitely no.
Mangini is teaching how to approach "complex" rhythms in an intuitive way; in the video he plays a 7-tuplet fill in a way that sounds like 'swung' triplets. He studied a lot, and can play without thinking of the concepts themselves, but he has the knowledge to analyze those things and explain them too; paraphrasing him, by the way.
And I have said this in a different thread, if you had someone with his knowledge as a teacher, it would be a scam if he only taught you to mimick written things. And then perhaps act like playing in 7/8 or shifting between time sigs is some deep, complex concept that only awards winners understand. But I digress
