Finishing up the Louisville show and really enjoyed it.  On With the Action being an inclusion was an obvious highlight.  Love the extended solos before the verses and Schenker is freestyling nicely.  Looking forward to running through the rest of the shows, but that one was a highlight.

On With the Action might be the best song I’ve heard out of the hundreds mentioned in this thread

It's up there for me.

Coming up with a top 20 or 25 for this band is going to be tough.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Damn! Haven't got my notice yet.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I've fallen behind again, but wanted to comment on the Revelation album cover. The Scorpion at the foot of the cross has to be some kind jab at Michael’s brother. Worship me, Rudy or something along those lines ?  :lol

It's a great deep track. No Heavy Petting is my favorite UFO studio album. Phil's voice sounds so great and his lyrics, like in On With The Action, are really interesting.

The Strangers set is awesome.  Love the multiple shows and just enjoying going through each one.  These songs don't get old, simple as that.

Hmmm. If it’s an acknowledgement of his past, shouldn’t there be a UFO flying around too?  :P I really don't know what to make of that cover, and after listening to this interview I am none the more enlightened  :lol

Graham Bonnet actually agrees with you.  I think Tim posted his latest interview perhaps but that's the impression he got from the cover, like Schenker portraying himself as a God and the singers worshipping him.

But then this very cool interview with Doogie popped up..

In Memoriam

Paul Raymond

November 16, 1945 – April 13, 2019

Paul Raymond first gained notice as a member of Chickenshack in 1969. He actually replaced Christine McVie would would join Fleetwood Mac. He played on 1969's 100 Ton Chicken and 1970's Accept

He would soon join Savoy Brown and record six albums with them.

Street Corner talking-1971
Hellbound Train-1972
Lion's Share-1972
Jack The Toad-1973
Wire Fire-1975
Skin N Bone-1976

Paul Raymond on far right.

I posted about seeing UFO in 1986, and took this pic of Paul. It was really cool to get a chance to see him.

After bouncing around MSG, Waysted, and UFO again, Paul would form the Paul Raymond Project. He was very popular in Japan.

Full albums aren't really available on youtube. I'm honestly not all that familiar with them. Searching Paul Raymond Project on YouTube will yield a number of single tracks.

Paul rejoins UFO in 2004, and remained with them. He passed away of a heart attack following the first leg of their Last Orders tour on April 13, 2019.

Here is Paul's last show just eight days before he passed away:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI62GfUxekw&list=PL1dmwfND6uERAN5P0Jsx_HbATx8QbT1Cd:

A couple of you have mentioned during the Listening Party that Paul Raymond really added something to the music. I totally agree. He had a way of lifting whatever he was playing on. He always found the perfect keyboard sounds to accompany the track. He was sneaky valuable to UFO's sound.

Raymond was such a huge part of UFO and the off shoots we’ve been enjoying. Very under appreciated.

Paul Raymond indeed was super important to the bands sound.  So many underlying sounds, tones, keyboard parts that make the songs what they are.  Seemed like the guy never wanting the spotlight but happy to provide what the song needed.

Another shocking loss.

Oh hell yes!! :metal

That intro really comes alive when it's played....live.

He is wicked in the chorus. What a sound!

Paul Raymond slips so effortlessly from keys in the chorus to rhythm in the solo. Andy Parker solid AF.

And that solo! :metal

And Paul's transition right into Doctor Doctor is masterful.

I believe most of Strangers is the Louisville show. And I also believe the crowd is from the Chicago show.

THIS!

I ordered the Gary Moore Live At Montreax 5 CD set and it kept getting delayed...

I had mentioned The Gary Moore 5 CD Live At Montreaux box set. Amazon gave me multiple opportunities to cancel the order or see it through. It came with Auto Rip, so I had the music, but I still wanted the physical copy.
Ultimately, they let me know that they would be unable to fulfill the order. So I got a full refund......and a free Auto Rip! ;D

So those were the six shows they recorded to compile the Strangers release. I read an interview with Ron Nevison and I believe he said that they took more from the Louisville show than any other show. He also mentioned that they used the crowd from Chicago because they were the loudest.

Yeah, and that's what makes this set amazing. I mean, for me, it's not just because it is UFO.

This would be like Iron Maiden releasing a set of all 4 shows from Long Beach Arena in 1985.

Except the UFO set has different setlists.

I think I'm midway through disc 5 and working backwards so two more to go after Cleavland.

That Louisville show, Schenker hardly puts a foot wrong.
