This is really fascinating. I would have guessed As I Am would have been in the top 5.

If it was, that would be a case of “one of these is not like the others”.

Don't forget, the I&W tunes got a head start as all were played every night on that tour.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I still can't believe they've only done Disappear twice. Depressing fate for such a great song

Looks the same from the Dreamfest last night, kind of crazy they did the full two sets at a show with Killswitch engage, Rhapsody, and Sabaton opening for them.  One hell of a bill if you ask me.

It's interesting to see TSCO have such a high count in comparison to so many other songs in their catalog. But it is worth noting that those numbers are only in reference to songs that were played completely through (or nearly so). If you were to factor in the different medleys that have been performed in the past (which are for the most part considered separate entities on setlist.fm), the number counts for the top 20 songs would look like this:

1. Pull Me Under - 946
2. Metropolis Pt. 1 - 844
3. Learning to Live - 616
4. Take the Time - 602
5. Under a Glass Moon - 601
6. Surrounded - 523
7. The Spirit Carries On - 522
8. Another Day - 436
9. Strange Déjà Vu - 421
10. Lie - 420
11. As I Am - 383
12. Fatal Tragedy - 371
13. Home - 360
14. Peruvian Skies - 356
14. Wait for Sleep - 356
16. The Ytse Jam - 355
17. The Dance of Eternity - 352
18. The Mirror - 326
19. Voices - 307
20. Overture 1928 - 304
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

Okay, but it shouldn't count in the ledger if only part of the song is played, although I see that long songs indexed by parts are sometimes listed that way, similar to how the song count for Rush lists the 7 parts from 2112 individually, for example.

They also played the Pull Me Under/Metropolis (Pullmetropolis) medley quite a bit, which is counted as a separate song in setlist.fm, that adds to the count for both.

I think those two will remain the top 2 played songs for the rest of their career.
It sounds like, "ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk." Instead of the more pleasing kick drum sound of, "gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk."

I included that medley when factoring in the adjusted song counts.   ;)

They played Octavarium 60 times. Shoulda dropped it from 2 shows... For the Nuggetz
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I mean... They need to play it 98 more times and then I'd be happy with the Nugget.

Or. 9 more times. Because I have the humor of a teenager.

Yes!

It is one on my DT bucket list. Along with ACOS, which I won't ever get the chance to see.

I've heard DT play it twice, once on the Met2 tour in 2000 (on my first ever DT concert no less) and once on the I/W 2.0 tour in 2017. I loved it both times although the 2017 version was a lot better IMHO. Either way, given that I remember both concerts very well, I had always been exuberantly happy when I heard JP play the first notes. Then and now. In short, you could have seen ACOS if you had attended the I/W 2.0 tour. I guess you couldn't. (which is sad because you missed a great one, IMHO)

What an incredible drummer Mike is. I really hope he keeps putting out stuff like this, as the mixes (especially of the older albums) don't do his composition and playing justice.

I really hope he didn't take it down to negative comments.  I read his facebook post questioning whether he should do these, but I hadn't yet watched it but I kind of felt like he should just do it and not worry about the feedback.  He mentioned the feedback he always gets for being robotic or not being MP.  It seems like that stuff really gets to him, which I understand, but I really wish it wouldn't make him not want to do cool stuff like this.  It's not a video for me, as I am clueless whenever I hear him talk music, but he's such a talented drummer and dumb comments should not stop him from sharing what he loves.  I hope that's not the reason for the takedown.

Observations:

- He hit a bum note about 5:23 (I'm kidding; he was waving his arms and tapped the cymbal);
- Cool how Uncle Fester showed up like Eddie at the 5:00 mark;
- I used to work construction, so it's interesting to watch videos of guys on excavators and you can tell when someone knows what they're doing.  Or cooking shows, or mechanic videos.   But it's purely an admiration for skill/craft, there's no emotional involvement in it.   While I look at that and I say "wow, I could practice for 12 hours a day from now until 2112 and never be able to do that", there's no connection to it.  I'm so sorry, I should probably keep that to myself, but it's how I feel.

If I remember correctly, he had to re-upload it.

These videos really show off the musicality of his kit. I don't really think we can tell a difference when we hear it through the speakers, but here you can tell. It's very musical.

Also, JM head-banging is so weird, he's very animated in that video. I think this is the first tour since MM joined that the fun is palpable and that they're all having a blast. Even JLB is staying out front more this tour. I vividly remember him standing behind the kit on the riser during the entire ANTR solo just head banging. It was cool to see
