This even number crap needs to stop. Seriously. It's our turn.  It's been over a century for us, it's been two years for the Giants.

I know, but it would be just be like the Cubs to squander it.

I'm seriously rooting for the Dodgers and the other series 2, as much as I hate to, just because of Daniel Murphy. He was our crypt tonight last year when he was on the Mets, and I don't want to Face him again

Watching Chicago natives Sarah Spain (on Around the Horn) and Michael Wilbon (on PTI) today acting like nervous basket cases because of a single playoff loss reminds me of how annoying the Cubs fan base is.  It's one freaking game.  Did you expect to win every single playoff game??  If they lose tonight, I can only imagine how terrified the look on the faces of fans will be at Game 5 in Chicago.  Joe Maddon has done a great job of changing the culture with the players, but it's clear the fans will always think the sky is falling until they actually win the Series.

To be fair, any long time Cubs fan has been conditioned to expect the worst. The team's post season opportunities have come few and far between in my lifetime. '84 and '03 would suck for any fanbase to have to deal with.

Well the Dodgers barely survive for game 5.  When the Nats tied it I expected it to be over.  Their bullpen had as bad an inning as ours, thankfully.

I need a headbanging Cubs thing like the Giants one. That was an amazing win. I didn't want to face cueto again and Moore was a beast. The bullpen blew this one (tbh the only one I'm glad we got a run against was that damn jumper Law who fs1 was somehow enampred with, but I digress). At the same time we got hot for some reason and it just all came together like a storybook. So pumped.

Screw the Cubs.  The ideal situation would be to see them make it to the Series and go up 3-0, only to collapse in epic fashion and lose.

And when did the Nationals add Edge to their roster?

lol Dusty Baker has lost 9 consecutive potential series-clinching games dating back to his time with the Cubs

Congrats to the Dodgers for winning and inevitably reaching the world series!!
