I'm struggling with impressions this round even more than the others.  I have drafts of all them, but they feel so generic.  I'm gonna try to get at least one more runthrough of everything first and see if anything else pops out, but if not I'll just have to go with what I have.  Here is hangman filled out in the meantime.

It's hard to tell one melodic death metal band from another, I imagine.

A bunch are more black than death, actually.  It didn't seem quite as challenging with all the similar prog metal in round one though.  Maybe it's all the harsh vocals, but there is a decent amount of variety among them, and a fair amount of cleans.  I still like extreme metal, but I think I can't take quite as much of it at once as I used to, I can sense temporary burnout of the style coming up once I really pile on the listens.  Regardless, I'm definitely looking forward to the palate cleanser next round.

We might have the whole gamut of experiences with it just in the roster here, because at least one was never into it at all, and at least one other didn't discover it 'til relatively recently, but seems all in on it.

Usually, I like to have a set number of listens in a round. Usually five. But there's been rounds where I'm wondering WTF was I thinking and just cut it off at three and call it a day.
