I'll just go ahead and say now that Tatiana is the one I forgot.  Immensely talented.  But from what I gather, she doesn't do nearly enough to try to take care of her voice, so unfortunately it would not surprise me if she dropped off precipitously within a few more years.  But right now?      Anyhow, I was skimming through my CD collection to make sure I didn't leave anybody off.  But I have only bought Jinjer's music digitally, which is why I missed them.

Don't worry, she made my list.

I love Guns N Roses, but would never in a million years put Axl on my list of favorite singers. 

I know a couple of people I left off, but it won't matter, because no one else would have listed them either lol.

I didn't put any growlers on my list either, but if I had, the only two I would have even considered would have been Tatiana and Akerfeldt.

The growlers on my list are the ones who can pull of both the soft and the harsh vocals.  None on my list are full blown growlers/harsh vocalists (although they are completely capable of doing only that style).

So...  not to now shift to pimp Axl, but he will likely be on my list.  I saw them in a 1,000 seat club in 2010 or thereabouts and that fucker went on at 11 sharp, and was still singing at 2 am when I left.   He was on stage for all of that except for about 10 minutes when Duffy or Dizzy or Daffy whatever played his piano solo.   Amazing vocal performance.

Let me guess: he was scheduled to come on stage around 8 or 9, right?

List is in; two women in my top 25, five in my top 50. 

I used the Ranker; stunned at some of the singers that didn't make the top 25.   Pretty interesting exercise.

When can we start sharing those that didn't make the cut?

Struggling to rank 20.  Gotta find some more.

I have this struggle as well - not that I don't have 25 great singers, because I do.  But when I get past the top 10 or so and I'm comparing two singers, I don't really know which one I like better than the other.  I've used the ranker a few times and gotten totally different results in the lower rankings. 

I suppose all this means is that it really doesn't matter what I rank them as long as they're on the list, so I'll finish this tomorrow and send and be done with it.
