Today must be Friday in Canada...
So, my favorite line - or at least top two or three - in any song ever is "I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be the sun* in someone else's sky... why? why? why can't it be mine?" by Pearl Jam, in "Black".
Another good one is "Though you hardly can recall her face or form, her memory lingers on..." by Tony Banks, in "Evidence of Autumn".
Give me your two songs with your top two lines. I'm taking you at your word ("I got pictures of naked ladies lying on their beds, I whiff that smell and sweet convulsion!" isn't going to fly in this round, Kade!) here, and for once I'll give some clarity: If your favorite line is "The love you take is equal to the love you make" and you send in The End, you'll either get it rejected (Beatles!) or you'll get your score for the song, your two points for the theme, and zero for the creativity. The creativity on this one is HOW YOU GET THE LINE IN.
Single elimination here, ladies and gentlemen, so some strategy at play here. After this round, four go to the bleachers and four continue to run for the glory!
