I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity for "piss taking" (non-American definition) during the upcoming Ashes.

Hey Lowdz nice to see some Coney Hatch getting played. Great band.

That Heavy Metal Heroes and Diamond Dreamer look pretty obscure. Never seen those

Linkin Park - Meteora
                    Hybrid Theory
                    Minutes To Midnight

Totally nostalgia trippin
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Now I am on A Thousand Suns.

I listened to it twice when I was first released (not counting the numerous times my ex had it blasting)...

I didn't like it then. I wonder if I will now.

The Heavy Metal Heroes was a NWOBHM compilation I have on vinyl. I was in a NWOBHM mood so youtubed all the tracks. Some tracks are great like Bitches Sin's Strangers On The Shore and Dragster's Do It. Some are pretty shit.
The other was a Dutch band called Picture. - the album was Diamond Dreamer It's a bit early 80s Whitesnake sort of thing.
And yes, I love some Coney Hatch  :metal

I like it - it's a bit of a melodic rock classic and Freddy Curci was a monster vocalist.  Rating would be up in the high 80's.

The AOR/melodic rock part of my collection has been neglected for a long time , so starting to inject a bit of it into my listening for a while.

Does the Avatar mean anything to you?

That was the first name for Savatage.  Are those just demos of songs from Sirens?

yeah - it's early Savatage (changed their name due to another band with the same name).   I haven't listened to it for ages but from memory it is its own album -nothing was released later on Savatage albums.
