Wow.  That's one album I thought you'd skip from them besides COS.

Kiss - Music from The Elder

Probably my all time #1 favorite Kiss album.   Just a criminally overlooked and underrated album.   While most people cringe at the album itself, I tend to cringe at the bands criticism (and disownership) of it.

Beyond those, I love the first three albums so much.   I love the second "trilogy" just a little less.   Really love the hard rock trilogy of CotN-Animalize.   Beyond those albums, all the rest tend to be in the "meh" pile.

Can't argue with much of that. I do love Dynasty and Unmasked though. And Revenge.

Good on ya for Forgotten Suns - but fuck!  There goes another possibility for your roulette (even though it's still months away).

And why would you punish yourself with that Tolkki shit?  :zeltar:

Green Day - Dookie
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Yes - we finally woke up  :lol

As far as those albums go , I like them .    Both are fairly lengthy - Satch in track numbers and the Lynch is a double album. I wouldn't call either standouts or albums I am rushing to replay but I think you will enjoy them.

The Satriani is pretty easy/pleasant listening with little in the way of shred -more mood music for much of it.  The only other thing I would say is that the 2nd half is quite a bit stronger than the 1st - for me anyway.

The Lynch is very earthy/raw and will appeal to those who like the rougher, bluesier edges of Lynch Mob and some of his side projects.

I would rate both low-mid 80's.

It's not bad. It didn't blow me away on first listen like Bilo 3.0 did and after a second I can't see it topping that EP, but I like it, I think it will be a grower. I've really only recently gotten started with his music and djent in general but he's very consistent and quickly becoming a favourite for me in the genre.

It truly is a grower, you'll see. In fact, I think he was smart to release if under another name instead of 'Bilo 4.0' - it sounds and feels a bit different from his usual stuff, but equally great imo. Can't wait for ECO :caffeine:

I still think Bilo 3.0 is the peak of djent, because David uses that (sexy) sound as part of his quite creative music, instead of masturbating with 0-0-0-1-0 tabs for 5 mins straight.

Btw, I'm curious of how you came to listen to him  ;D

I occasionally go through roulettes and listen to the songs that do well. I'm pretty sure someone had sent Where Is Now? in a couple of them. :lol

I've heard of that site but don't use it. The four albums from Forgotten Suns through to One | Cinema were listened to as a result of your post in the favorite albums of the first half of 2015 thread. ;) I particularly liked Pantommind.
