Me too. The St Augustine Theory Of Illumination sounds like a cool idea.

Well, Enigma Machine is almost definitely the instrumental, so I'm unsure what you can glean from its title.

That is fascinating.
This.

Also, I tracked down part two of that video because it had really peaked my interest. Here's the link for anyone who's interested;

Wow, thank a lot! That video left me hanging and I was dying to see the fatal Enigma Flaw!

Yeah that was pretty cool. Really interesting and fairly easy to understand. Now I have something to picture in my head while listening to the song if it's the instrumental.

People who are intrigued by the enigma machine: if you enjoy dense amazingly written sci fi books, try out Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson. So freaking good.

This makes me think Enigma Machine may or may not actually be the instrumental...

I'm fairly confident Enigma Machine could still be the instrumental. Perhaps they titled it that with no comparison to the WWII one intended; or, perhaps they titled it that because it's going to be so crazy that it sounds like the Enigma Machine might when it's operating! ^_^

You can easily find it on youtube.. it's made by a channel called Numberphile. The guy that makes those videos (i.e. the one who interviews the mathematician, Brady Haran) has many other youtube channels (like Periodic Table of Videos, Sixty Symbols, etc.) with more awesome content like this about science and stuff.. it's really great, I suggest you guys check it out.

Maybe someone has already wrote/asked that, but I haven't find any info in the last pages...there's a specific time in which the single will be released, or is still unknown?

I've decided.

I will listen to the new song only once.
That way I'll have my dose of DT until the album comes out, but I won't have the need to skip the song while listening to the whole album.

That's what I say every album cycle. And then by the time the album actually comes out, I've listened to half the tracks, and will have heard the single about a dozen times.

Which is fine because atm OTBOA is one of my all-time favorite tracks by them.

Wow! Last night I dreamed I was driving my car with my bro and the local radio station had gotten a hold of FAS. "Sweet here it comes" I remember saying. It started out like In the Studio part 3 snippet but without the scatman vocals. The song was short and instrumental, I guess since I already knew it will be, and it was epic towards the end. But also I remember it was a little weird, something at the end of the song, but I can't remember. My bro was all like "Hmm, that was kind of weird". But it was awesome lol

It's about the enemy inside, so the options are-
Childbirth
Chest burster
Parasites
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

burn

and I like Zydar's idea
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
