One of my best friends is a hipster even though he won't admit it. We occasionally give him shit for it, but it really doesn't matter. The anti-hipster movement is just a silly fad.

I really don't get the visceral hatred that so many people have for "hipsters."

It doesn't have much of a meaning anymore. It's just a blanket term for "Person who likes something I don't like."
