Sigz, Massive Attack was really really good.  Crap.  It was so good.

 I'm quite impressed you're actually going through the entire list!  :metal

Halo is the one that really brings the album down.
I think it's that, Open Car, and Shallow.
Wtf is wrong with you people?

The only part that drags so much that it becomes annoying is the second half of Arriving Somewhere.
Geez, talk about a song that's long for the sake of being long.
That would be Anesthetize. ;)

Every song on DW is varying degrees of fantastic. I could listen to that album forever.

And Anesthetize is easily the best PT song.

Find me another PT song that covers that amount of ground, and manages to be interesting the entire time.

Also, that bridge in the second section where all hell breaks lose = the best thing ever.

The middle is awesome, I agree, but the beginning and end are eh.

How about the extended version of Even Less?  Or possibly Russia on Ice?

Ooh, Russia on Ice is a pretty good contender. I still prefer Anesthetize though. The vocal layering on the third section is nothing short of orgasmic. Also, the static section bridging part 1 to part 2 is amazing.

You're all wrong.  Deadwing is the worst song on Deadwing.

The rest of the album is pretty damn great.

And Anesthetize is easily the best PT song.

Gotta agree with this on all counts, and all the description which came after. While the middle section is the best, this song works so well as a whole and goes to so many interesting and fantastic places.

Also live = orgasm.

If it would've been ~6-7 minutes shorter, maybe.
Sadly the end result is one of the best examples of a song dragging waaaaaaay too long.

Anyway, I'm fairly certain that we are going to see these as the top 3 albums in some ranking..

3. Eisley - Room Noises
2.  Kayo Dot - Choirs of the eye
1.  Thrice - The Alchemy Index
Maybe like that?

Just finished up Brand New - TDAGARIM (which is probably the first time I've really enjoyed an alternative rock group).  My goal is to catch up before Sigz completes his list.  :hat

Good god, I hope not.  Besides, it would most likely leave Choirs of the Eye as the odd album out, anyway, and I really want to see that one on here.

3. Eisley - Room Noises

I've said it before, but this is virtually a perfect rock/pop album. Almost every song is fantastic and moreover distinct, from the dark and whimsical Marvelous Things to the country-ish Golly Sandra. There isn't much else to say about it, it's a wonderful album from start to finish.
