I always call it that for some reason.  :lol  I've done that about twenty times on DTF.

Anyway, Ghost Reveries had better be on there.
I think you'll be disappointed.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Blackwater Park is Sigz's favorite.

Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

Prolly not.

I think MAYH is his second favorite Opeth album.

According to the list, it is.  And that's why Sigz is awesome.

Ghost of Perdition > Blackwater Park.

So both of them had better be in there.

Also expecting Deadwing, a different PT album, a Blackfield album, and a Thrice album.

Ghost of Perdition is better than the whole album, huh?

Ghost Reveries is my favorite album ever, and I make that mistake sometimes. It's so easy to call it that if you're not thinking about it. :p

Don't think we'll see Blackfield, mostly because I never think I've seen Sigz praise any of the two albums.
Personally I think they're both better then the majority of PT-albums though. :P

Alright, because I'm procrastinating harder than Ron Jeremy right now:

8. Opeth - Blackwater Park: Opeth's best album easily. Every song is top notch, it flows brilliantly, and has an atmosphere that's only GR and MAYH have come close to matching. Special props to all the background acoustic work, the album wouldn't be the same without it.

7. maudlin of the Well - Bath: The first time I heard this album, I had no idea what kind of band maudlin was when I put it on, and I literally shit my pants at the transition from 'Blue Ghost' to 'They Aren't All Beautiful'. I then proceeded to cum for the rest of the album. You will too.

I'm not sure I want to listen to an album that will cause my pants to be filled with shit in the back and cum in the front by the end of it. You're not really selling that album well. :p Or is it all worth it?

Well I was right about Bath, BWP, and other people were right about Agalloch.  Circle Takes the Square is a big surprise though.

Got Bath on my computer, haven't checked it out yet.
Cool to see some love for Opeth, though I personally don't enjoy BWP as much as others seems to do.
Still awaiting the top spots.  :hat

The acoustic layering is what makes BWP sound so damn special, IMO.

6. Isis - In the Absence of Truth: If there's one word I would use to describe this album, it would be 'magical'; While Isis's entire catalog is great, somehow the planets were aligned and gods were smiling when this album was written, yielding an absolutely wonderous album. Gorgeous layers of clean guitar become melancholic sludge riffs while the vocals wander amongst them, all combining to create one of the most beautiful and ethereal metal albums I've ever heard.

I've heard them compared to Rosetta. Is this a fair comparison? If so, I'll definitely check them out.

ehhhh it's not completely off-base, but it's not really a good comparison. Some of their other stuff is closer in sound, but ITAOT really isn't.

You have a very good sense of musical appreciation, Sigz.  :tup
