Man I fail at updating this.

23. Massive Attack Mezzanine: Pretty much the best trip hop album ever, as I've said before. It's dark, diverse, and groovy as fuck. While the last half of the album (from Dissolved Girl on) is absolute perfection, the entire album is brilliant, and flows so well that the stronger songs carry the weaker songs really well.

22. Giant Squid
- The Ichthyologist: There really aren't enough good things I can say about The Ichthyologist, or Giant Squid in general for that matter. It's heavy, driving, and catchy. It has wonderfully morbid lyrics, great guest spots, and a great range of styles that all fall into a really tight and well-formed sound. Simply put, The Ichthyologist is easily one of the best metal albums ever.

21. Thrice - Vheissu: For a long time Vheissu was the odd man out in Thrice's discography for me. While I knew it had really great songs, I found myself not really spinning it all that often. Then one day it just clicked, and blew past virtually everything else I had heard from them at that point. In the context of the rest of their work, it represents a really interesting point in their development. Moving away from the post-hardcore style that had been growing in their last three albums, they distilled out the punk stylings of their previous hardcore sound; Dustin's voice matured considerably, his screams carrying significantly more power than before and gaining a much more unique quality. They incorporated more electronic elements, from electric pianos to digital drum beats, offering a more mellow side to their music that hadn't been heard before. All of this was tied together by a more mature and experimental songwriting style, and the result is a near perfect album, despite being a liitle more inaccessible than their other work. The only thing that really holds the album back is that it doesn't seem to flow quite right. I can't say how I'd rearrange it to make it better, but I've always been a bit uncomfortable with the current arrangement.

20. Ulver - Blood Inside: Easily one of the densest albums I've ever heard, Blood Inside is an album that sucks you in and won't let go until you've heard everything it has to offer; in short, you'll never stop listening to it and you'll never stop discovering new things about it. Even after an uncountable number of listens I still feel like I've only begun to scratch the surface of it, and that's something I don't think I've ever been able to say about another album. It's dark, diverse, and pure brilliance. And that's about all I have to say about that.

Vheissu would be right up there for me too. I've never had any issue with the flow of the album, i'm interested to know which songs you would move around.

Now you listen here Sigz, I paid good money for this list and I want it finished. You'd better get off your lazy ass and finish this list.

Alright, I wish I didn't have to do this, but I'm just gonna finish this off as quickly as possible with tiny write ups. I have so much work to do that it's passed the point of being anxiety-inducing and just become funny, and that's really not a good thing.

19. Fennesz - Endless Summer: Great poppy melodies layered behind gorgeous, noise-laden electronic awesomeness with subtle guitar sprinkled throughout. Pure brilliance.

18. Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine: Panasonic Youth, Sunshine the Werewolf, and Unretrofied, together on one album. Listen to it and die happy.

17. Porcupine Tree - Stupid Dream: Basically every song is fantastic, and there's a wonderful array of emotions across the album. Also, the harmonies are gorgeous.

16. Between the Buried and Me - Colors: Sixty four minutes of kickassery. Some of it could have used some editing (White Walls I'm looking at you), but it still flows so well as an album that it doesn't matter.

15. Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me: I feel like I don't talk about this album enough. Simply put, it's brilliant. Nothing fancy, just near perfect songwriting, a great flow throughout the album, and not a single weak song.
