Yo BH

Wondering if, since no one seems to be running any form of top album lists right now (and the ones that are don't seem to be on it right now), I could maybe do something freeflow style I've been wanting to do?

Basically I am listening to all the 2016 releases I have gathered so far and posting a review as I am listening to random albums from the collection. Afterwards I will be ranking them. that ok? could start right away too

This is something that I wanted to do even before hosting a roulette (but never got around to it). I've actually got my top 50 albums in a playlist and the order is pretty much correct.

I'd follow you guys and hopefully get around to doing my own once I've finished my 'top 30 albums of 2016' thread.

Seeing as how my third roulette is about to happen early next year, I'd like to do a second Top 50 list which will include only the albums that DTF introduced to me (avoiding any bands from the first Top 50, too). This will probably be helpful for people thinking of participating, as it would show my current preferences in music, I suppose.

The plan is to start it in the upcoming few days, as I guess there's no actual queue now, and wrap it up right before Christmas rolls around. Would anyone be interested in that?

As I've actually got a load of time off work maybe I could finally get around to doing mine! I mean I don't have time to do big write ups but I could keep each post short and sweet and try to do one or two posts a day?

There is some black/death metal, yeah. Each writeup also says who's responsible for getting me into that particular album, so you can tally up the scores and see who made me waste the biggest amount of money on music.

I am defffffinitely going to do another top 50 next year, my first and current top 50 list is not accurate in the least. Way too busy to even rank my 2018 albums without write-ups let alone making a full top 50 list, but somewhere mid 2019 should be possible. Also will implement the '1 album per artist' rule to make it a little more interesting.

I'm just compiling my list. This shit is difficult! I'm trying to rate by how important it was to me/shaped my tastes/still holds up today/I actually still listen to it/current favourites.

I also don't want to do a *one album per band* rule as I don't feel it will actually fairly represent what I truly consider my Top 50 of All Time. Some bands just have too many good albums that I just couldn't cut some, and do this justice.

Hopefully I'll get around to this

I'll probably do a top 50 in the near future. Although I need to gather my thoughts and make sure my 11-50 albums are correct (at this point I don't think any album will ever replace anything in my top 10) and then do some writing.

Can't remember when the last time anyone went. When these were popular, I think (like Roulettes) the general consensus was 3 at a time. Since none are underway, I say fire it up.
