I gave Grin a listen earlier. Have to say I didn’t like it as much but sounds like it’s a bit “deeper” and may need more listens. I’ve really enjoyed these albums and I’d never bothered with them before. I assumed they were too extreme for me.

I'm glad it's a classic to somebody. :lol

I remember there's a cover of Action, but that's all I remember about it. I saw them open for KISS on the Asylum tour.

One of my buddies actually wrote a letter to Helix, and got a handwritten letter back from their bassist. This would've been '84-ish.

Well, I'm glad you did! They sure were one of a kind in the thrash scene. Try Punishment for Decadence too - a little more on the raw side, but already "forward thinking". As to Grin, yes, definitely worth giving it more chances. It clicked right away with me back in 1993, but I was in full discovery mode at the time, so who knows  :biggrin: In a way, it's more immediate than the predecessors in that it's less "technical", on the other hand I can see the payoff being a little slower. It's a groovier version of Coroner, with a touch of industrial influence as well - but you can tell it's still them. And the guitar playing is SO good on it.

Great album. I found Helix to be bland but BnB were excellent.

Perfect Timing was extremely disappointing. A couple of decent tunes. Save Yourself was so much better.
