I don't understand why there are so many jokes and memes about recorders.  I loved hearing my kids play music.  I joined them when I could.  What could possibly be cooler than playing music with your kids?

As a general matter, I'm right there with ya (I always wanted to do Jethro Tull's version of Bouree with my daughter, but alas...).  However, the recorder (especially in the hands of an 8ish year old) is not a well-regarded instrument, and songs from Frozen....  My daughter was a little too old to get into it, but I know folks who were THIS close to doing serious violence if they had to hear Let It Go or Do You Want to Build a Snowman one more time.

That was a pack of winners from top to bottom!

The banana got an especially loud chuckle, as did Rachel and Mike.

The Rachel and Mike one is admittedly something I would've done had twitter existed back then.

Suits was fun for a while, a long while actually.  Took a few weird turns once "the secret" came out (come on, that's not really a spoiler is it?), but kinda made sense in the bizarro alternate universe where the show takes place.  But by the end... oh wait, you said you're still watching it.  Never mind.

The 1/3 vs. the 1/4 burger is absolutely a true story. A&W tried to compete with McD’s and promoted the 1/3 burger but the general public didn’t understand it was bigger.

I've seen the salt one before but it gets me every time

and yeah, so sad that people don't understand 1/3 > 1/4, but that's not surprising really

It's almost a shame, really.  I'm an engineer, and took a lot of advanced math in school. I work on cars, so fractions are something I work with every day; 3/8" wrenches, 5/16" sockets (smaller than a 3/8" socket)... I never gave a moments thought to what is bigger, I just intuitively knew it, but now I see that as a "thing" and I have to think about it.  We're so dumbing ourselves down!  :)

My friends and I were heading back from a concert listening to Spotify in the car and even though my friend had it on shuffle for her entire playlist we kept getting random tracks for Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. Not like a few songs but the entire god damn album. It was like the phone was persistent that we needed to hear it, even out of order, despite the thousands of other songs she had. So we reached a point with three non Fleetwood Mac songs and then The Chain came on and I fucking lost it.

I liked "The floor is lava" one.  Kinda like the "Your mom was smoking hot, and so was your dad the last time I saw him".  Jokes that could/should be obvious, but they took until now for someone to come up with them.

Not a measure of quantity, it was literal ants. (I think you're being sarcastic, but just in case lol)

Lakeland, Florida, poolside.  It was recounted in "The Dirt", the Motley Crue movie. Ozzy says he has no recollection of that particular incident.

I was asking about the picture. I was never a coke guy (unless somebody just handed it to me), and I figure you might have an idea.

Sorry, totally misunderstood that one lol...looks to be a sixteenth to an eighth of an ounce. Probably closer to the latter.

Ya think? I was guessing at least a half and probably closer to an oz. If you embiggen the picture that's a really big bag and it's bulging a little in the middle. Again, not my forte, but I've handled 16ths and maybe the occasional 8-ball, and if that's that I got seriously ripped off.  :lol

Yeah, keep in mind it's been a good 20 years since I handled any dope, and rarely in such quantities. I always bought grams, and they'd maybe be a quarter of what he's holding there. Also I dealt in crystal meth, not coke, so not sure if there's a density difference between the two.
