Remina, Epica, Dream Unending, and Ring of Fire are the possibilities.

Very, very curious about the new Dream Unending. Enjoyed their debut quite a bit.

not a "Friday Release" per say, but it is released technically today, Tuesday November 15th, to coincide with the release of the Complete film.

I Am Whole by Glaston released a few days ago.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Glaston (probably most of you), this band is a post-rock band from Switzerland and it's my favorite post-rock band.

They use a lot of piano in their music which is something I love. Their melodies are great; nostalgic but yet also energic. For those of you who know Maybeshewill, they play in the same field.

Anyway, their new album I Am Whole looks pretty good. As of this day, my favorite of them is their first one (Sailing Stormy Waters; especially the last track). It's my favorite post-rock album. I still hope they can beat it some day.

Funny how everything was Roses
When we held on to the Guns
Just because you're winnin'
Don't mean you're the lucky one

Yes, I was on this one this morning. Excellent stuff.

Ooh, I had really liked their Descender album. I don't think I've checked out anything else. Didn't know they had a new record coming out - I'll give it a listen for sure.

I only got to my Release Radar playlist today, and incredibly, a song from this was on it and just started playing about 30 seconds before I came into this thread.  Will be checking this out - I still have 9 albums from 2022 in my backlog to listen to.

Tomorrow is shaping up to be a really good one!

Elder - Innate Passage
Neptunian Maximalism - Finis Gloriae Mundi
Jamie Lenman - The Atheist
In the Woods... - Diversum
Thy Catafalque - Live at Fekete Zaj
David Maxim Micic - Bilo IV

I'm particularly excited about the last two. Bilo 3 is amazing so hoping this will live up to that. The live Thy Catafalque should be amazing as well, I've loved the singles so far.

Well, at least unlike a few other bands, he has released other albums since the last one, just not in that series.

Shaam Larein

This sounded quite intriguing, at least based on one, cursory listen. Litho, this seems right in your wheelhouse. Did you end up checking it out?

I hadn't yet, but I just put it on a bit ago.  It is quite fantastic, and will definitely be somewhere on my year-end list.  It seems more fully realized than I remember the previous one being.

By the way, Litho, I have posted about this Italian band, Deathless Legacy, in the ...Listening thread. Released last Friday too. Very different genre, but female-fronted also. I have a feeling you might enjoy it. A little cheesy at times, but it sounds pretty good.

Deathless Legacy Saturnia was most excellent!

I haven't checked that out yet. As I mentioned in the other thread, I didn't even know the band existed! This last album is very good, I'll be exploring the back catalog too...

It’s Saturnalia, my mistake. It’s one long track.

In the first few tracks it felt kind of generic, but it seems to keep getting better as it goes along.  I don't know if the later tracks are stronger or I'm just getting used to their sound, but I'm quite liking it now.  I enjoy bands that dabble with orchestral and symphonic elements, but don't always make them so prominent, having more timbral variety.  The vocals are a bit different as well, a tad like Magali Luyten, and the guitars are heavier than a lot of similar bands, so I'll probably be revisiting it and checking other albums out.

It's taking a few plays to get used to them, and I still don't like them as much as most of the first couple albums, but it's cool how prolific they've been.  The new tune a couple months ago was virtually an Amaranthe track, an interesting direction for them.  I guess since leaving Rage of Light she's wanting to bring that flavor into Ad Infinitum.
