Checking out new Björk tomorrow.

For sure.

Just finished it.  It's exactly what you'd expect, which is completely fine with me.  The 90s/early 00s album are still untouchable, but she's still consistently excellent.  It's going to take a few listens to sink in though.

Friday's looking good. My day is going to be dominated by the new King Gizz, but I'll check the others too.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava

Lamb of God - Omens

A. A. Williams - As the Moon Rests

Aenaon - Mnemosyne

A.A. Williams is definitely what I'm most looking forward to, but there's also Queensryche, Blind Illusion, Faceless Burial, and Cloud Rat as potentials.

Yep, very curious about the new Queensryche...

And also looking forward to the new Faceless Burial. Speciation was a fantastic slab of death metal.

On my list I have new albums from:

Teramaze
Aara (although it's just an EP)
Illyria (I hope this is at least as good as their last album)
Glass Hammer
Major Parkinson
De Profundis
The Cult
Aenaon
Queensrÿche (if the album cover is anything to go on, it's going to sound like the Space Rock version of Empire ;) )
aka Puppies_On_Acid
I peed next to Ian Mosley and Mark Kelly
Derek Sherinian probably stands 10 feet away from the urinal, shoots from downtown, and announces loudly that he's making history.

Oops, forgot Teramaze.  It was even on my list, and I skimmed right over it I guess.

The couple of songs from the Borealis have been pretty good.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

1/2 way thru QR/Digital Noise Alliance.  Better than their last release.  Pretty much what you'd want/expect out of post-Tate QR.   :tup

Next up, Teramaze.

Great stuff from one listen. Nothing new or different, they're just really good at what they do.

A.A. Williams is definitely one of the best albums this year, I'm glad to see she has a bit of a following here, which will hopefully grow.

Queensryche and Teramaze are quite solid, though the former doesn't have as many initial standout tracks as Todd's solo album did.

Teramaze was really nice on the ears. Very similar to their last couple of albums in style and production. Me likely plenty.

Parius - The Signal Heard Throughout Space

I came across this a couple of days ago and wanted to check if anyone had mentioned it here on the forum...sure enough, you did!  ;D

Very cool record. I had checked out their previous album, The Eldritch Realm, found it quite interesting, but didn't really go back to it. This is a bit of a different beast, though. Dropped most of the harsh vocals, and went full-blown prog concept.

Man, I drifted in and out throughout this whole thing.  I guess it's Borealis by numbers but we've just heard this all before.

So your recommendation is not to touch it with a ten foot pole?  ;D

I put it on while I was working and think there were 2 stand out songs that made me look and flag as like, but nothing that was mind blowing. But it does sound like standard TFP lol
