Hey Persia kid I see where you're coming from, but the last char revealed will be char8 because John Petrucci is on to you, he found out you knew about the conspiracy so he turned it all around
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

It would be funny if the clock guy was revealed next week to mess with hadi-persian. They have been coming out in a weird order (EN was 2, Arhys was 3, Gabriel was 1, Evangeline was 7 and EA was 6).

have u ever seen DT in TV?

I've seen them ON TV, but I don't think DT have been IN a TV. I doubt they could fit inside unless you got MM to use his genie powers to get in one of these.

I'm actually curious about what his idea is, like he said, he can't say because of poor english.

I think it has more to do with the time between the last character being revealed and the album launch, the number of days.

How is that of any use, I don't know, I think that's what he tries to tell us.

It has nothing to do with age. I'm 25 years old and I would love to buy all this "useless trash", but I live in Brazil, the land where the government taxes 60% over my damn soul, so yeah.

And now the music is "not intelligent" because of some marketing? Sounds a bit elitist to me.

I am elitist. One of the reasons I like bands like DT. I just have an aversion to the whole fantasy and star wars nonsense that is really written for teenage boys who live in their parent's basement and can't get a girlfriend. Not everyone can be a Neil Peart (though Rush went into that kind of territory at some point as well but a bit more clever) but still, yikes.

I think its more sad that you are taking it so seriously. Enjoy the music and stop trying to put others down for something they may enjoy but you dont.

It sounds to me like you care way too much about how other perceive you based on what stuff of entertainment you like.

I like what I like and who cares what other people like. Some people like the same stuff as me, some don't. It's pretty narrow minded to judge people based on their interest though, is it not? I mean, the "geek" industry is currently -the- largest industry in the world. The geek have inherited the earth. Star Wars 7 opens in 33 hours, and I will be there to see it, along with hundreds of likeminded people who enjoy the same movie as I do - but I don't go about judging those who do not go to see it. Their business.

It's really not that. I don't care what other think about what I like. And I really hope you'll have great fun at the movie theater. My comments were solely about myself and not about others. My apologies if that insulted anyone. This was more about my own grief that some things don't last or may turn into something that's not yours any longer.
It happens. Pink Floyd is no more (and I find David Gilmour's solo attempt equally sad), Rush may be on their way out...big part of the soundtrack of my life.

And nothing against "geekish" things - plenty of that going on with me.

You're gonna have a hard time convincing people you're legit here, when you come out and say stuff like "I just have an aversion to the whole fantasy and star wars nonsense that is really written for teenage boys who live in their parent's basement and can't get a girlfriend."

If you truly didn't care about what others think, you'd be far more indifferent. Fine if you like certain musical directions, but there are far more tactful ways of going about things which don't shit on others interests.

Just got through reading the last couple of pages..... interesting stuff.... Yeah.

Anyway, anyone think we might get something, a video or another single perhaps, at 6:00am Christmas morning?  It would stand to reason that something more substantial than another character or map piece would be released then.

Not that anything will even be released then, just figured with DT liking those easter egg-type things.

Well, we get to page 99 of this thread for it to descend into playground bullying.
This sort of behavior and language should not be allowed on an official forum linked to the band.
Can't imagine what the band are thinking seeing an individual being ridiculed for not having enough understanding of English to properly express this thoughts and theory's.
It really saddens me. :'(

That doesn't make you an elitist. That makes you someone who completely misses the points to fantasy writing. If you think that's why Tolkien wrote his stories the way he did you're way off. He used an unorthodox method to instill morality in his characters.

And the last I checked, I never had a problem getting gorgeous women knocking at my door, so your generalization is a lazy accusation maybe based on a few select instances.

1.  "Anglya" is clearly based on Anglia, the old name for England (settled by Anglo-Saxons) - the eastern part of England is still known as East Anglia to this day.  So "New Anglya" is clearly New England.

2. Arabelle is the spitting image of my ex-wife. So she's clearly an evil bitch queen from hell.

3. I love Clock Guy!!  :hat

Don't know if its my imagination, but on The Astonishing web page, is the Nomac at the bottom of the page getting bigger?
When the page opened I'm sure the Nomac almost fitted completely on the screen, now only half fits on!
Not sure if the NOMACS is getting bigger, or if it has to do with the added picture of Empress Arabelle. Something to do with coding I think.

What is up with Arabelle's neck?  It looks really odd to me.  Maybe it's just a covering but it looks seamless in the transition to her face.

The shadowing does make it look a bit weird.

I'm shocked that nobody else here thinks she looks like the Child Empress, or even remembers that movie.. Well, at least it'll always be in my heart.

The child empress has a really cute look about her. Arabelle looks like she would scare Al Sharpton white.
