I quite like Osukaru. The Alias is ok, a bit too polished for me to love it.

The Steve Stevens is a cracker.  I was recommending it in the classic albums of the 80s thread.

The Dokken is ok, but not a patch on the early stuff.

Love the Survivor.

Only Praying Mantis I've heard is Sanctuary which is a great album. Listened to the odd old track on YouTube and wasn't that impressed. I have been in a NWOBHM mood in the last few days though.

Not listened to anything today as we've been busy with my youngest' birthday party. About to put that right though, lining up ADTOE. Not sure where I'll go from there.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I'm not Lucas, but it's Russian kind of progressive chamber acoustic stuff with female vocals, piano, violin and cello. (I think it was a string quartet on the album.) It's enjoyable enough. Don't go for a blind buy though. :biggrin:
