I think I'm missing the joke here. :lol

You were.  Last time I "didn't remember", I really didn't remember (Big Hath's post).  This time, I was poking fun at myself.

And that Double Eclipse faux pas was because I was shit-faced when I typed it.  :durnk:

Damn... that really should be an emot of some kind.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

That First Signal song is really solid.  Reminds me a bit of the Find Me, well done and quite fresh for the genre.  Harry sounds great as usual.

I got a copy of the previous First Signal album based on this new song alone.

Wowers!

First one is good, a couple of filler but a lot of good melodic rock.

I'm surprised you're so into them considering it sounds as soft and generic as anything else Frontiers churns out.

I recall liking what I heard of the Ted Poley album so far, and it doesn't surprise me they rated that highly, but WTF with Sunstorm? Why would they rate it that low? That's basically 0% from that site. It's right up their alley, and it's a solid album.

I enjoyed this First Signal track, not as much as the first one though. Sounding like a solid album so far.

Yeah I thought the same with the First Signal, not as strong as the others, but still good.

Yeah, maybe it's too heavy for Andrew or something the Sunstorm.  :lol

I figured this is the place to ask. I'm trying to think of an AOR band that I listened to years ago, though the band name escapes me. I remember very little. The word "warning" comes to mind, and that they had a number as one of their album titles. Van Halen comes to mind, too. Yes, I know. Wonderful clues.  :lol

Fair Warning -4 ?      Also happens to be the name of a VH album.

If you know them well Blob, you'd be one of the few around here.  I was a big fan back in the day - esp the debut.

You know, I have these moments where things I should know completely slip my mind. Once he mentioned the band, I was kind of surprised that I forgot their name.

The debut is more hard rock , Rainmaker more mainstream sounding.   The songs that come to mind are Burning Heart and Childrens Eyes.

I'm halfway through it. The Rain Song is beautiful. I've always been a sucker for those slow songs, power ballads, etc.

That's the one I heard first!  Thank you for reminding me about it. Go and 4 were the two albums my friend played for me that I loved. He is probably the one person I know that knows just as much about AOR as everyone here.

Rainmaker was one of my very early CD purchases.

Their debut is a hard rock classic , so don't forget that.

I'll give you another lead to follow.   Fair Warning was formed out of the ashes of the band Zeno , which featured Zeno Roth(younger brother of Uli Jon Roth) on guitar.   The album featured Tommy Heart from FW (vox)on a few tracks and a number of the FW band members.

See if you can track down the album Zenology and see what you think.

I noticed that about a lot of AOR/melodic rock bands. There is always a member or two who were from another band or some other collaboration. Every band is linked to a handful of bands. You don't see that in any other genre except prog rock and power metal. I like it, though. It's an endless search for similar bands.

I was hoping to find Blue Tears on Spotify, but no such luck. True Romance was always on my depressing mix.  :lol

I'm going to look for Zenology, though. If I can't find it on Spotify, I'll check YouTube. If not there, I'll search some of the sites I use on the Internet.

The 1st two Zeno albums are ok, very similar to FW really.
