It doesn't really have to do with 'being a better person' or any shit like that, I just don't get why someone has to do something extreme like that.
I haven't really come across many metal-fans that embrace change, most of the people I've met fall under the category "change is bad, every album should sound the same", so obviously my own experiences combined with this kid doing something 'metal' would result in me getting a more negative opinion on the metal-fanbase in general.
So yeah, I'm not really saying that everyone is like that, but it is kinda obvious that one's opinions or perception of things change after personal experiences and such.

That is such a sweeping generalization. You are describing a very small fraction of the metalheads I've met through concerts and through friends. Maybe the majority of thrash or death metal fans (If it's not brutal, fast or Slayer, it's fake and gay).

But to say this is what a metal fan is like...oh come the fuck on.

This is coming from someone who grew up on metal, and has become a staple in my every day life. So yes, I am a bit biased.

Dude again, I'm not saying this guy is the typical metal-fan.
My point was that burning CDs because of rage - that feels really 'metal'.
It has nothing to do with the fanbase or anything like that, just the expression of something being 'metal', this would certainly fit under that category.
