I don't consider this album to have any real weak spots.  But does anyone think that Jekyll and Hyde is one of the weakest compared to the rest?

I do.  And I agree, pretty consistent album throughout.  I'm having trouble picking a favorite song.

Jekyll or Hyde is, to me, one of the catchiest songs on the album.

James is good, of course, but the music just sounds too much like noise.  Sometimes, that can work, but unfortunately, it just comes off as muddy in this album.

I really like Jekyll and Hyde. The only track I find pretty boring is Who You Think I Am, the rest are fab.

This.

However, I gave a re-revisit to Mullmuzzler 1 and 2 and I've gotta admit I miss songs like Shores of Avalon, A Simple Man or Confronting the Devil. LaBrie's new style is ok, but I still miss those type of songs.

Yeah, Jekyll or Hyde was so awesome, I couldn't listen to the rest of the album when I got to it the first time. I just kept repeating this track over and over again, the chorus is so damn catchy the song would have been awesome even if it was just the chorus repeating for 3 minutes. Or more. And the way he says Hyde slightly heavier than the clean singing before it - I'm gonna listen to it again right now.

There is definitely something about the production that feels like it's holding the album back to me. A little more clarity between instruments, and having the keys up in the mix a bit.

That's funny, I actually am not overly keen with the chours of J&H.  It's good, but much better chourus' on the album.  Maybe it just hasn't clicked with me yet.

Agreed.  Seriously though, this is a pretty sweet album.  I like it more the more I hear it (probably listened to it 4 or 5 times now).  My favorites right now are probably Euphoric, One More Time, and Over the Edge, but honestly there's a lot of good stuff here.

Apparently Static Impulse sold 1,700 units in the US during the opening week and LaBrie went to #14 on the Hot new artists chart or something.

I really like CJS's voice, so I don't understand why the producers add all these weird radio effects to it.  Like I said before, the whole album just sounds like mud.  2/10

I mean, there aren't even any songs over six minutes!  How good could it possibly be? :P

Um...huh?

You listening to the same record? The mix and master is fine. Not the absolute greatest, but I would imagine for the budget, its top notch. I really like this record. I find its one that has to be listened to thoroughly a few times, but the songs start sticking with you soon after. Thumbs up here.

Do yourself a favor and actually buy it...there is nothing wrong with the production...but than again a bad download may be your cause

I don't know, I'm not crazy about the production. It's not terrible by any means, but it could definitely be better.

The album itself has really grown on me since I got it. I'm really liking it.
