Eh I don't like it. They claim it's a stripped down album but these titles are all over the top and filled with mythological connotations. Not to mention some of these titles are just downright silly. I preferred when they had the more modern religious undertones in their music, like with Beast and the Harlot and To End The Rapture. I dunno, I'm increasingly unhappy with a lot of these announcements and samples. Maybe I'm just outgrowing this band.
As for Nightmare, I liked it, sounded mature and was very emotional. I've never had chills like I had when hearing Jimmy sing on Fiction for the first time.
All that said, I like that they're (allegedly) taking a step back and stripping down their sound a bit. One thing from City Of Evil that I liked was the classic metal sound it had, would be nice to hear more of that.
