Ah.

Love and pain, engage your senses, and let them carve the way... wait, wrong band/song.

The Avett Brothers - The Avett Brothers

Totally nailed the "to annoy" theme here! I really should've known better than to allow players to pick the themes.

That's the chorus? Did they spend 10 minutes writing it and said "yeah that'll do"? Rest of the song was very solid but that chorus, man.

Hello Sacul! This is a little bit minimalistic for me so didn't leave a strong impression but I do enjoy this kind of thing as you very well know.

Reminds me of Dire Straits or maybe Mark Knopfler's solo work, and I do like both.

What you really needed is something to make a better song. :neverusethis: No, I dig the somewhat uneasy atmosphere but not exactly sure how this will pan out on the future spins.

You're probably right on all accounts. The one thing to keep in mind (especially for those critical of MP not playing MM's parts exactly) is that MP never played his own parts exactly either. Neil Peart he is not. So to expect him to do so now is ridiculous. Just look at how he handled Donati's parts in Apocalypse 1470 B.C. for the PSMS shows to get an idea of how he'll likely handle MM's parts.
You're exactly right on every point.

Oh amazing, congrats! :heart

Did I nail the ‘annoy’ theme yet?

Sorry guys! I got married about two weeks ago and I’ve been spending time offline since. Also I have important exams coming up which I’m studying for. I’m not intentionally stalling and I’m glad to see our host has just continued without the terrible submission I just sent him. Lucky for him it’s only 2 minutes long, so listening could go 2-4 times as fast :)

We were on time for your wedding, right?.

And I also hope your wedding night submission was longer than 2 minutes. ;D

Congratulations on your wedding, Rich!  :)
I'm sure you have extended the DTF streak of marrying up.

Oddly, I think MP (playing MM songs, specifically) will have the benefits/issues as LaBrie live. In the moment, at the concert, 95% of the people won't notice any differences as long as the parts are mostly similar, but when people see either a DVD or live videos, they will notice the differences a lot more and those that demand identical performances will not be thrilled.

Just realized the movie comes out two days after I plan to leave for Europe. Once I figure out the country I’m going to, I guess I’ll try to get tickets there. Hopefully being overseas will make avoiding spoilers a bit easier since I imagine the whole internet will be plastered with every possible spoiler 1 hour after the first screening is over.

I really hate that people do that.
