Cool name for the tour!

But who's along for the ride? Not me it seems cause I live in Sweden.

Was the show cancelled?

SomeoneLikeHim

It hasn't even been announced! (or it was for a few hours but then they took it down)

Well, at first there was no Swedish date, just a gap between the Finnish date and the Danish date. Then a gig in Stockholm was added (for the 22:th) but it was pulled in a matter of hours I think. Haven't seen any mention of it since.

?

Too bad... I'm surprised there won't be a Swedish (or Norwegian) date, but at least the guys will get some rest before the show in Finland. Speaking of that, will any of you Swedes or Norwegians travel to Helsinki or Copenhagen to see DT?

Meatrose

I probably will, if they really do plan on not playing in Sweden.

SomeoneLikeHim

I will probably go to Copenhagen if they don't come to Sweden. It's not that much further away than Stockholm anyway.

So no ´An evening with´  :-\
The shows will be in the format, but it's not mentioned in the name of the tour.

So DT has played Denver (and even Loveland and/or Colorado Springs, which are not very far from Denver) on every tour *except* for the last one.  I've been at most of the Denver shows since the I&W tour - so I was depressed when they didn't come through Colorado last time.

Not sure if there were other "outlying" locations that suffered a similar fate last time out or if Denver was an anomaly...

So here's to hoping that they don't skip us Rocky Mountain folks again *this* time - that would SUCK.

cyberdrummer

I'd be surprised if they skipped Denver again - was there a reason for missing it out last time? For example, low turnout at previous shows?

OsMosis2259

Any chance this will be an evening with?
I miss those :( even though I understand why they wouldn't do it again unless it was a very special occasion.

Um, I guess you missed the news, because it actually is an Evening With tour :) (no, I'm not joking).

Even though PN09 was cool with Opeth supporting, I am most excited to finally be seeing a DT show that is just DT.

Nothing that I ever heard of - seems like they've always played to full houses in Denver on the last few tours.  Suppose it could have been a problem with a promoter or something along those lines... what ever the issue, I hope it's been resolved!

I should have checked before posting. That's so awesome!

Maybe there are some details that just need to get worked out. It would seem strange if they didn't have a date in Sweden considering there are three days off between DK and Finland and unless they sail directly from Copenhagen or something (if there's even a route for that) they need to cross Sweden to get there.

Seems like it would almost be an insult to not play in Sweden  considering how "poppet" Dk seemingly is compared to Sweden (at least on the surface) who have a festival like Sweden Rock where bands show up that I could only dream about seeing in Denmark, but that's coming from a foreigner who grew up on album rock radio and prog in the US, and there may be an underground here that I'm unaware of but I think radio pretty much sucks here (thank god for net radio)... I was actually surprised at how many there were at the ADTOE show in Copenhagen (near capacity) but there were a number of Swedes in the crowd as well ;).

Anyway, I digress... Hopefully the show will pop up in Sweden again but if not hope you can make it to DK for the show :).

Now that the tour's named after that song,I can safely say that Along For The Ride is gonna be their single. YOU HEARD IT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.

prob not.

Zydar

I can safely say that Along For The Ride is gonna be a track on their new album.

Am I doing it right?

Don't know if you're doing it right, but I'm 100% sure the new album will be self-titled :neverusethis:

chknptpie

Would you rather it be Dream Theater's tour of Dream Theater's Dream Theater? Or for those that love acronyms - DTDTT.

Another_Won

Yeah, they are kinda stuck now because they can't do a word play on the album title.  How about just Dream Tour?

Or how about "The Enigma Machine is rolling into your part of the world.  Get your tickets now!"

jingle.boy

Not sure what I'd rather it be, just that I think this is lame.  Using the exact title from one of the tracks is bleh.

Yea sounds pretty lame. I'm not crazy about that song title in the first place.

It's better than just boring old "Dream Theater Tour".
