I think Doogie is pretty distinctive. What did you think of Stranger In Us All?

Good not great.  I watched the live release not long ago - Black Masquerade - and it was WAY better than I remembered.  He's a great singer, no doubt.   I just don't think he's so distinctive that you go "Oh, Doogie.", especially when compared to the other singers that were in Rainbow.

He's more distinctive than Joe Lyn Turner, who will also be on the new Schenker album too.

So........I think I just shouldn't step foot into cd stores at all.  Being New Years Eve I started work a little later and JB (cd store chain) has 20 percent off cd's ending today.  Went to one I hadn't visited for a while but normally has a good selection.  I got up to S and saw a good selection of Schenker cd's.  Now, there was 3 there that I didn't have and really didn't need.  I thought about it and thought about it, but simply could not leave without them.  The 3 were;

In the Midst of Beauty
30th Anniversary double CD

 

I didn't even make it through Temple of Rock when I listened, Didn't care for the couple of Beauty songs and already have 3 other live cd's so really didn't need the live one.  $20 each though but I seriously couldn't leave without them.  Why?  What the fuck is wrong with me.  I'll be listening to these and liking them too. I'll make myself.

Have both the CD and DVD dig into along with so much other stuff.  Barden is the only thing making me lukewarm about it but live Schenker is always worthy and shouldn't judge until I've checked it I guess.  The cd version of Temple of Rock too is a killer cd.  Been cranking that one.
