Also, Elite just submitted. He said he will do his own hangman in the morning, so all of the Europeans can have a solid crack at it before we get up here in the US.
This is correct.
And let me explain why this took me so long, because I honestly hadn’t planned for this to take more than a week. I don’t plan these things in advance, like a lot of people here do. So when the results from a previous round roll in, that’s about when I start putting together something new. Sometimes it takes a day or two. On the day the round 4 results rolled in, I had surgery. Perforation of my left tympanic membrane. This particular surgery is quite minor, but has to be done under general anesthesia (narcosis). The results is having a tampon in your ear for a week that soaks up blood and wound fluids and this thing acts as a fantastic ear plug. I could not hear anything in one ear for over a week. I underestimated the surgery completely, because I thought I would be able to work the next week after having a weekend’s rest. No way that was gonna happen. I couldn’t do anything physical, for risk of causing too much pressure in my inner ear, and I got tired and dizzy very easily. I was stuck at home for a week and couldn’t really do anything. Listening to music (and making music) sucked, because I couldn’t hear half of it, so I was basically doing nothing. Last Friday the tampon was removed from my ear. It’s far from over, because they don’t
fix this straight away, no. The tympanic membrane has to grow back itself. (In short; they take a piece of muscle membrane, in my case taken from above my ear (I have a nice scar there now), stick that onto the perforated tympanic membrane and then they let the body do the rest. The muscle membrane becomes part of the new tympanic membrane when it grows back). So now I can sprt-of hear again, but I’m enduring a lot of buzzing in my left ear and it still kind of hurts. This will take a while to get back to normal.
And thus my roulette submission got postponed until now.
