I've listened to Katts, Evermind's, Kade's, and partway thru Stads'. So far, mine is the best them.  :neverusethis:
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

So far Elite has taken the top spot for me.  Elite, the Ulver song you sent TAC is way better than the one you sent me.

Did I send you a track from The Marriage of Heaven & Hell? :lol that was a bad idea! Ulver are an amazing band.

Yes, it was like plates 17-20 and it was really really long. :)

Well mine is totally the best, but I'm not counting it. :P

If you've listened to Kattelox's already, he clearly broke the rules. :P

I think I'm like 2 hours into yours...

Only EP I've managed to listen to is Lethean's... The first half sounds like Katatonia. The Ayreon songs are the best parts, of course. The Diabolical Masquerade tracks are really neat but painfully short.... Long Distance Calling is generally good stuff from what I've heard and that track is no exception. Pretty cool sounding EP for sure. The Devonian track is half cool (riffs, drumming, clean vox) half torturous (shouting, harsh vox :) ). I couldn't understand a lot of the lyrics so I don't know how well it really tied in to the story, but the story itself was entertaining with a great Stadler joke in there. I give it a Jonas EP/10. :lol

Nice score. ;)

MP3s are tagged with lyrics if you don't believe me that they fit. :P

That Long Distance Calling track is clearly the best thing they've ever done... :neverusethis:

Our Days Were Polar
Our story begins on a cold day in Indiana.  Our hero has just sat down at his cubicle for another day’s work.  He’s been distracted lately, and not entirely focused on his work.  He zones out at his desk,  and when he comes to, he realizes that he’s Worlds Away, in Melbourne, Australia.  Exhilarated by his change in scenery, he explores the city center, and then makes his way to the Mornington Peninsula, traveling down the coast to Portsea, where he looks out on the Southern Ocean, imagining himself at the edge of the world.  Another sudden change finds him overlooking the Millau Viaduct in France, where he wonders how he’s drifting to all of these strange places.

An amazing place
A sound engraved in stone
Hear the right tone
And let it go in space

Getting into the stride
One lasting moment with the clouds
Enjoying the elements
From the wilderness into shade and light

Leave well enough alone
Comforted by this silence
A place that will forever
Be etched in my remembrance

A wandering mind
Walking among mirages
On a reverse sky the boiling horizon
Forgetting how the world was so loud

Leave well enough alone
Comforted by this silence
A place that will forever
Be etched in my remembrance

Leave well enough alone
Comforted by this silence
A place that will forever
Be etched in my remembrance

“I’ve visited all these places in Google Earth,” he realizes.  Hmm….

Voland.  As he figures out what’s going on, he decides to test his theory, and ends up in the Altai Mountains in Central Asia.  Inspired by the natural beauty he’d otherwise never get to see, he finds himself at peace and inspired.   He next finds himself in Tokyo, a jarring change and a bit overwhelming.  The bright lights and constant movement around him overloads his Dopamine uptake, and before he’s completely overcome, the scenery changes again to the Mogollon Rim in Arizona (Vetus Memoria).  The abrupt change allows him to refocus and regain control of his situation.  He then travels into Nevada, enjoying being Off the Beaten Path.

Kingston Falls. He then finds himself on a beach on Lake Michigan, a place where he used to go as a teenager.  Stirring up feelings of nostalgia, he begins to think about all the places he’s called home, and if they ever really were home.  He thinks of his family, and how he lost his center as his family moved around and eventually broke apart.  As the song builds, so do his emotions, and he finds himself swirling in anger, sadness, confusion, and depression.  He regains focus to find himself traveling in the Canadian Rockies, Traversing not only long stretches of highway, but also his emotional state.   He finally stops in the Alaskan Wilderness.  At the summer solstice, he takes in the Midnight Sun, and realizes what he must do.  His moment of clarity is interrupted as he notices an ever increasing rumbling noise, and looks around only to find that all of this simulation, or whatever it is that has allowed him to take this journey, is beginning to fall in on him, in a way he can only describe as Something Like Avalanches. The swirling chaos grows and grows, until he finds himself suddenly back at his desk at work.  The end of the work day has come.  He looks around, wondering if anyone noticed what had happened to him.  As he adjusts to his surroundings again, he finds himself at peace.  He focuses on the picture of his wife and young son at his desk, and realizes that, as long as he is with them, he will be Home

Honestly I like how succinct this one is compared to almost all the other submissions, it actually helps it stand out. Or I'm just showing bias cause this is a post-rock filled EP and I'm actually psyched to check it out cause there's a lot of goodness in here that I already know. Cool stuff romdrums.

Romdrums, there's a Kingston Lake in Michigan but not falls, that I know of.  Did you make that up?  Just curious since I was assuming most of the places are real.
