Shoulda kept me in. I could've sent immediately.  :loser:

Looking forward to see who comes out on top.

Sorry but I don't understand the part of the transition tracks. What does that mean? Can you provide examples?

NOMAC tracks from the Astonishing.  Tracks that are short segues/setups/preludes to an "actual" song is how I interpret that.  Those would NOT count as 1 of the 3 artists.

For (grammatical) clarity Seneca... does that mean the time/length of such segue tracks would allow the EP to exceed the 40 minute mark?  Or is 40 minutes a hard stop?

That makes sense. In that case, is there a specific time frame we should consider? Like, below the 1:30 mark it is considered a transition track?

Again, sorry Romdrums. You sent me some fantastic songs along the way, and definitely some full albums worth checking out.

And I was looking forward to beating jingle in the next round, too.   ;)

Thanks for having me.  This was a fun roulette!  Best of luck to the remaining players.

EPs must fit within a time frame of 30-40 minutes. Period.

And Nekov, any track fewer than 90 seconds sounds about right. But lets just use common sense. I think we can all generally agree when a track stands on its own. If 35 minutes of your EP are comprised of two artists, and theres a minute long interlude track by a third artist in the middle, youve done something wrong.

And of course, 3 "real" songs is also just a mininum.

Working on my EP, had a solid draft but turns out one band I used was recently sent and banned. Probably won't send until tomorrow evening.

Edit: the tracklist is settled, now it's time to brainstorm the title and embellish the pretentious as hell story I've got for this one. Glad I have a chance to do this again, this time to Nelson.

I actually need to look up who sent No-Man before and you're my mortal enemy now because I had Truenorth in my first draft for the EP and it was banned, let's see  :corn

Edit: alright then, I looked it up and I'm rooting for you Chad.

You're goin down faster than a Hobo on a Big Mac, Diego.

One thing is for sure, our EPs will be very different. Still, you haven't got a chance.

I actually need to look up who sent No-Man before and you're my mortal enemy now because I had Truenorth in my first draft for the EP and it was banned, let's see  :corn

You're only rooting for him because you know he is an easier matchup than I am in case you get through this round. Don't try to play nice to him

I have all the EP's now and have begun listening to them. For obvious reasons, I expect this round to take longer. Hopefully I can have the results posted by the beginning of next week.

EP Titles:

Standing On An Avalanche
Loss of a Loved One
Songs About John Lennon
Hearts and Bits
Ballads For a Friend
Blood and Brainwaves
Digging My Own Grave
Modren Prog in Pastel Colors
Pricking the Indie Vein

I'll do a somewhat random sampling of songs from all the EPs and turn it into a hangman, but not until I've had a chance to listen to them all. Also, I'll be posting at least one batch of first impressions within the next couple days.

By the way if anyone wants to ruin the hangman for yourself, I can share my EP in exchange for you sharing yours. Either PM me your EP and I'll send you mine, or we can do a plug.dj one day and play our songs.
