Personally, I'd love to hear Labrie do some multi-layered track harmonizing. Can't remember him doing much of that.

Does the screams in the chorus of Build me Up Break me Down counts as what youre talking about?

No, not really. More like really layered overdubbed choral stuff.

Well, then live guests then.

Was an update on the tracklist last wednesday? Or we should wait until tomorrow or friday?

Bold prediction, tomorrow will be the last tracklist update, making the second act complete with 8-9 tracks, although chances are this will be another 20 track disc.

mmm, maybe 10+ tracks on the ACT II as well. I don't think of 20 but maybe 14-15 tracks

I think The Count of Tuscany's chorus counts as that?

Anyway, which tracks do you guys consider to be single canditates, or rather, which tracks do you WANT to have as singles? I want at least The Gift of Music because I really like the name.

Lord Nafaryus, obviously. I know there's a fair chance of it being an instrumental, but in case it's a full-blown song, I want it to be the first single.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Oh yeah, definitely! I hope it's either badass heavy or at least has like a... imperial march feeling, if you know what I mean.

Singles are usually the most accessible tracks, so I kind of doubt that they'll release a track like lord nafaryus as the single.

How about:

The Gift Of Music or The Answer for single?

I really don't see logic in predicting which songs are single type, instrumentals, epics, interludes or so just by their titles...

Sometimes I just forget I'm in DTF, so...

I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

" A Life Left Behind " is *clearly* the first single. Based on absolutely NOTHING.

Same goes for almost all of this thread. People have been extrapolating entirely plot lines and what happens in each song from the titles and the very limited setting information that we have.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

Noxon is legit.

I remember you having all kinds of tidbits about the last album and then you were at the listening party and you helped build up anticipation. That was fun. Looks like your doing the same for this album.

If noxon is able to listen to The Astonishing, this implies that they are already done with mixing and mastering, or I'm missing something?

I would hope so since they started mixing October 13 ??

I know the album is extra long this time but one month should be plenty.

I can vouch for Noxon's credentials.  Pretty sure he has not heard any of the new album.  But he is privy to much of the same info I am privy to, and he knows what he is talking about.

Speaking of which, keep an eye on your emails and Twitter, folks.  Apparently, Arhys is not pleased.  :)
