You might enjoy them. I was so close to sending Sleep Baby Sleep to Genowyn for the roulette but I was too scared of that "I'm sure it's good at what it's trying to do" score.

First time listening this album. Fantastic piece of art. Solar Winds and Color Your World are one of the best songs i've heard in a while.
Rise up, be counted, stand strong and unite!

(Couldn't find a smaller one, sorry) Awesome stuff from this dude. Really great progginess going on here and some gorgeous piano/keyboard work throughout. Also the second track has huge vibes of a Devin Townsend (especially the vocals) fused with Flying Colors vibe, very upbeat and melodic.

Former lead singer of TesseracT on this one and my GAWD this is fucking awesome. I really hope these guys continue to make music because this record is rocking the skin on my feet off since fuck socks. I hadn't heard the guy before since I've still only listened to Polaris really but his screams REALLY sound like Tommy Rogers at moments. But the cleans are gorgeous and the instrumentals are really pretty and still very  :metal

Annnnd the obligatory "supremely into these guys only to find out after they've broken up" find. GRAAAAH! This is the only album I've been spinning all day along with Good Tiger. Which sound really similar instrumental wise (and a bit in the vocals, thought kinda not really).

Apple Music has been so friggin' good to me lately. Been finding handfuls of bands that I'm really into both old/new/obscure and...well no mostly obscure, at least as far as the majority of the industry is concerned. I redid my profile and whatnot and then downloaded some music that I love that was on my 'puter but not on my phone, except I realized that I can actually have the music on "My Music" without being downloaded to my phone, and whaddaya know...all these results started popping up for music I actually like. I'm really surprised at the more obscure bands that have popped up. Good on you, Apple Music, good on you.

I would do a a writeup of all of these but I'm way too tired rn. I can say I'm enjoying all of these. I figured I'd listen to Devin Townsend since everyone else is  :lol

i dunno the song names but the third track and the sixth track are my favs, i guess
it's the kind of album really worth listening to exclusively as an album though
even if it's only an EP, whatever, it's longer than the CHON album so i'm calling it an album

Thirding the Riverside and Townsend recommendations. Fantastic shiz.

I really love Ego but I do think that Eco blows it out of the water. Which says a lot about how much I love it. I am really friggin' glad I found out about this dooder. Great stuff and I hope that he releases more through iTunes. I've been listening to his previous stuff as well but I'm sad only Ego/Eco made it on iTunes. I'm hoping he grows in popularity and releases them at some point but I'm not holding my breath for that.

Damn right it is.

Epysode - Obsessions: Meh, I couldn't even finish a single listen through this album, that's a first. Title track is still very nice, but I felt the album was packed with like 15 short meaningless metal tracks. Don't know exactly at which song I stopped but I don't see myself returning to this at any point.

Opeth - Damnation: Damn straight. I thought this would be soft for Opeth standards, but this is actually full of songs like Windowpane, very relaxing  and groovy stuff with soothing vocals, I like this.

Ne Obliviscaris - Portal Of I: Coming up.. shortly  :metal very excited for this one.

Epysode is amazing.  Not sayin this disrespectrully, but I'm so glad I passed on your roulette... we are clearly not a match.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad

Nah I understand. That's the main objective of a roulette anyways, getting people to discover new music, I believe it started out that way as well. If people feel like they have to adapt to stuff they don't even like themselves in a roulette to do well, I think it's best to pass.

Well you can always get his music through his Bandcamp, and sync it with iTunes anyways.

On a side note, happy to see David getting some love around here - looks like sending him on virtually every roulette has finally worked :lol

Arriving Somewhere is amazing. Then again, I don't get why Open Car doesn't get more love, it's a great song.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.
