I've been drinking beer since I was 18 and dabbled since I was 16. I have at least 500 beer bottles in my collection and love the fancy shit though my wallet doesn't. I'll drink liquor not even five times a year including shots or mixed drinks. Jack Daniels and Coke is an easy go-to for me. Very smooth nads candy sweet.

And yeah, I grew up with Nintendo and Mario has one of the best soundtracks in games.

It is the only album on this page  :loser:

Porcupine Tree - Deadwing, In Absentia yesterday, Deadwing today, I think I caught the SW bug (though I already knew Deadwing very well).

And since ToN is listening to Porcupine Tree, SMG is no longer the best album on the page.

And this is how my exploration of the two biggest trip-hop bands ends. Very interesting, dark experimental record.

Fear of a blank Planet should be your next stop. And don't overlook Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun, those are, even though different, equally good albums.

FOABP was actually on my mind, I think Sacul recommended IA>FOABP in that same order.

But to be fair I have a lot of roulette stuff to go through and I've kinda been abandoning it, I'll probably get to those before I continue my Porcupine Tree explorations.

'Judging' from the newly released song, I'm a bit worried the new album won't be as cool as this one. The production was very messy, while this one has very crisp production. Clipped yes, but crispy.
Not 'Down To F***', but 'Dream Theater Forums' .

Almost every album ever sounds bad production-wise compared to KNY though  :lol
I liked the new song a lot and never noticed anything off about the production.

EDIT:
First of all, that album cover is just amazing. Secondly, I found the 19 minute song a bit hard to digest, and towards the end of the album I kinda wanted it to end, but I still enjoyed a lot of it, it's very unique. Probably some of it had to do with my grumpiness on a sunday morning after a busy day.

Just give it a few more listens. I wasn't that impressed by that song after a first spin, but few more listens in I was appreciating the hell out of it. It's a great epic.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Yeah I bet it'll be. To be honest I don't think any 19 minute+ epic has ever hit the spot on first listen, first you take in all the music without really understanding, then you start connecting the dots and it all falls into place, hope that happens here.

First one is Seven Thunders Roar, big recommendation for all Black Sabbath fans. It's similar to doom Sabbath era but modern at the same time.
Third is Here Comes the Sun by Klone. Awesome band, quite unique (progressive?) something.
And SLS is everything :hefdaddy

This one again. Geez, can't get enough of this style. I'm surprised how varied this album is in terms of songwriting - it never gets boring. And the atmosphere is superb  :heart

The Ocean - Pelalalalagial

i'm upset that I was sent an instrumental version of a track off this in my roulette because the vocals add a ton and this album is great
Into The Uncanny, Impasses, The Wish In Dreams, Boundless Vasts, Signals of Anxiety, Let Them Believe, Cognitive Dissonance, aaaaahh  :heart

i listened to the first two discs earlier in the week but never got around to the third before i started moving and stuff
so
1: i don't remember much of this but i remember it being fine, though not too memorable
2: i remember this being very nice softer stuff, probably my favorite of the three on first listen
3: this is sludgy as heck but i may not be in the right mood for it, i still enjoy it though

considering the three discs together run pretty cheap i'll probably pick this up at some point but i doubt i'll ever listen to it as one album since it really is three different albums sold together  :lol

Left to right: One pretty cool spotify discovery (supposedly similar to Distorted Harmony, which isn't true, but it's an awesome album nonetheless).  One roulette album (thank you very much mike, I'm loving the TFN album), and one album I just had to check out based on that cover, I've heard one song from it so far and it's pretty badass.

EDIT: After hearing it all, I like all three of these. Sidenote on the rhino album, it sounds very similar to Tool, but for some reason I never really got into Tool, and this hooked me from the beginning. Maybe this was the gateway I was looking for all this time.
