There was a time when I would have thought that too. But now I just don't know what to think of those albums. TDoG is not a consistently great album, and Wcliptica is not as inspired as their other albums.
I look at it this way. Ecliptica was the debut and they were very young, and an incredible debut it is. Days of Grays just seemed liked the band wanted to try and continue pushing the style they did on Unia on purpose, but really, it's too much. Unia is special, the band will never ever recreate something like that. Days of Gray was a very poor imitation.
Also, Elias really hasn't helped their sound. Jani wasn't the best guitar player in the world, but he really formed the bands sound. That presence really is lost on the new one. Elias is a great player, but just hasn't filled the void yet.
