Guys, now that I no longer need it for one of my classes (yes, I was actually more or less required to keep my profile for a class), I have finally deleted my account. It feels good.
Well, technically, it's not deleted. It's 'deactivated', which, as far as I can tell, is the furthest Facebook will allow you to go. They really don't even want you to do that even (which makes sense I guess, from their perspective). Facebook is the neediest site ever.

Facebook: "Are you sure?"
Me: "Yes"
Facebook: "But are you really, really sure?"
Me: "Yes"
Facebook: "Well... why are you leaving? You know, if you don't mind me asking?"
Me: "I never use it"
Facebook: "Oh, well, there are features on here that may make you want to use the site more! Check these things out!"
Me: "No, I really just have no use for this site."
Facebook: "Oh, come on, look at these features!"
Me: "That's nice. I'm not interested".
Facebook: "Well... these people [shows several people from my Friends list] might miss you! Stay for their sake!"
Me: "I either see them almost daily in person, or correspond with them somewhat regularly through a more personal medium than Facebook.
Facebook: "Come on, we can work this out".
Me: "No. I have to be firm here. It's over".
Facebook: "Well can we still be friends?"
Me: "Well, I guess that would be... nice try."
Facebook: "Damn it".
