I just saw that it is released in Europe on 29. July. That's one day after my birthday and therefore a very fitting (if a day late) present  ;D
Must've been Kwyji sending all the wrong songs.   ;D

That's the situation I was hoping to be in. My birthday is July 29 and I'd have guessed the American release would be July 30, but is sadly August 6 instead.

So you have to come to Europe for your birthday  :justjen or you have to wait a little longer.

My mate Phil Ashcroft from Fireworks magazine was interviewing James yesterday. I'll try to get some info but Phil can be pretty tight lipped in these things!

Regarding the different editions of the album, if I want the one with the bonus tracks, is the only way I can obtain it by getting the european import or will it be available domestically as well?

Maybe Matt can answer it.

As far as I know, yes (you would have to get it as a European import). I will check with our label rep to confirm though. Can't wait for you all to hear this stuff.

Cheers,

It is fantastic, and having Peter around last time was just as amazing. If the trend continues maybe in 2 or 3 more albums the Pirate himself will show up!  :yarr

My pleasure! :) Outside of Facebook, I really haven't been that active online - but it's nice to see an online community like this that's so supportive of our work. It makes the countless hours of writing, re-writing, recording, and producing this stuff all worth it!

Cheers,
Matt

I'm back, hahaha!  :metal

Great reading here! It's been a long time but I've tried to catch up a bit reading through quite a lot here.

Very cool that so many of you seems to be very excited for the new JLB album. Personally I think it's even better than Static Impulse much because of Matt's and Wichers absolutely phenomenal song writing. I promise you guys that the album has a wide variety of songs and there will be something for everyone.  :tup

Also, thanks for the positive reactions on my video!!  :hefdaddy

Cheers,

Peter

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I'm now going to buy the album because Peter and Matt are bro enough to post here...

And the last one was tip top as well... and I love James' vocals... and many many other reasons.

This is truly spectacular and I'm sure not many fans of any artist can say they interact with two members of a band.  Peter and Matt, thank you, we really appreciate the posts.  Would be great to see Marco here, but I think he is pretty busy with Jam Track Central, doing great work.

Should be almost time for another song.  Agony is just solid, I keep going back to it and it's just the perfect song I would imagine to kick things off.

Wow. And now Peter's back too. This is amazing. Peter, I gotta say, I can't get enough of your drumming on Static Impulse and the same thing will probably go for Impermanent Resonance once it's out. I hope you guys will be able to tour Europe sometime, I'll definitely be there.
