So, I read the press release and it seems to imply that there are only clean vocals on this album?  I know a lot of you like that screamo stuff, but it made Static Impulse pretty much unlistenable for me.  Does anyone know what the vocals will be like on this new album?  I'm gonna pass on it if it's like Static Impulse, that shit just ain't my cup of tea.

The press release lists the lineup as;

"Impermanent Resonance" Line-Up:
James LaBrie - Lead Vocals
Matt Guillory - Keyboards, Background Vocals
Marco Sfogli - Guitars
Ray Riendeau - Bass
Peter Wildoer - Drums, Screams

So, I think it's safe to say there is harsh vocals.

Does Matt qualify for VIP purple or no?

OH AND THANKS FOR THE UPDATE! :D
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
