There's a chance for Iron Maiden for me too, although not in the near future, but I'm quite positive that what I said for Metallica will hold true for quite some time.

I understand (MoP not THAT great album IMO but surely it was something fresh in time it was relased).

Though, we've gotten bosk this deep into Maiden...

Best thing about that song is that me and "the band" are getting ready for a show at a charity event next month, and whenever band practice gets a bit dull, I'll randomly yell "Scream for me, Roseville!" at which point my buddy Jack, who is one of the guitar players, launches into The Trooper while the drummer, bass player, and other guitar player stand there and do this:

Also, I'm a metalhead and Metallica is mostly boring to me. Sure, cool to play three or four songs in a row and headbang to them, or hear them live, but I am usually in the mood for something either more extreme or more mellow so middle-of-the-road heaviness of thrash is never a good match for me. Though, of course, in the 80's, thrash was more or less the pulse of underground metal and a lot of extreme metal came out of it - and a lot of other metal, even DT listened to Metallica ffs - so I have great respect for it.

Agree. Lately, I have been listening to many thrash bands and Metallica (to me) is not as good as bands like Overkill, Exodus, Testament, Kreator etc.

Like a lot of people, I enjoy the earlier Metallica stuff (read: pre-Load), but I'm not as big a fan as most seem to be. ...And Justice for All is the only album I consider really good; all the rest have some filler songs. On the other hand, I find Maiden pretty boring - I've heard some full albums by them, but none really impressed me. I enjoy some of their classic hit songs, but overall their stuff is way too repetitive and samey for me.

Try their more recent stuff. All four of the 21st century albums are actually pretty diverse and even quite proggy at times.
