Man.. DT was so inspired by Metallica. I mean more so than the other bands they were up against.. What's it gonna be like when one day my band is in one of these polls up against Dream Theater!?

I think it's interesting that it's winning. I mean, even if DT fans spam vote, if you think about the fan base of bands like AC/DC and Megadeth, those bands saw way more mainstream exposure than DT did. In terms of sheer numbers alone, it's impressive that DT has managed to reach the finals. Frankly, I think it speaks more volumes than the Grammy nomination.

Hey guys! Long time since I don't post anything here, well just past by to let you know that i been voting any stupid amount of times since the last half an hour and YES it does make a huge difference, I'm using a private browse, vote, refresh, and vote again, I started the poll at 37% and now it's at 42%!! I'm not saying is only me, but I was able to see a change on the metric every time I voted. Keep voting guys, this dudes deserve this and more! Peace.

The way this poll is set up, it is more a measure of fanbase support than anything else.  That's enough to make it meaningful to me - and I think the results have been amazing (win or lose the final).

It started off VERY lopsided in Metallica's favor....but Dream Theater has really closed it up.    I'm showing 52-48 in favor of Metallica.
