Good point.  Probably moreso that haha.

Yay for finally getting in the lead~

Sorry, but I voted for MOP. Even when Images is a masterpiece, Puppets is my all-time favourite heavy metal album. The difference isn't too big, however.

 :lol.

True, KEA is basically more aggresive and weaker Diamond Head, Rust in Peace is hugely overrated and Slayer is just bad.

Probably would have been an easier fight if Met. Pt2 was listed instead of I&W.  I&W is great but a little weak on the metal side.  I wonder which would be more influential to young musicians of those two.  I know for me it was clearly Metropolis Pt2, but then again it was also the first thing I heard from DT (when watching the History of Trunks DBZ movie - god Home opened that movie so gooooood) so...  XD

Metallica is way too much of a one trick pony. They don't have a single album that's worth listening to as a whole IMO. I have never really understood why Metallica are so popular. I don't think they do anything better than other bands, especially not in the songwriting (musically, I don't care about lyrics) and instrumental compartments.

Theres always a pretty good amount of skippage for me when I listen to Metallica.  Can't deny they were the original metal band I listened to, and my original inspiration to play guitar, buuuuut DT were my inspiration to actually LEARN how to play guitar/write music rather than just manage to hammer out what I want/need to.  Not that I accomplished that, but at least they inspired it :lol

Images and Words all the way!

Master of Puppets is not even Metallica's best album. Lepper Messiah is always a skip track and so is Orion. Ride the Lightning is probably their very best IMO.

lol! 49.15/50.85 Metallica.  Almost overtaking them, but this is the easier part for DT, always seems to fall back once morning hits.  Guess DT fans are all nocturnal.

Or European.

Yes, we Europeans listen to better music

Now leading by a difference of 5.7%. If the pace isn't let down and this difference is maintained till tomorrow, this one should be in the bag as well.

Can't you say that about the vast majority of really popular bands and musical artists? I mean, personally, I love Disturbed, but I'll be the first to admit that they're a one trick pony. And let's not even mention Nickelback. Even though I just did.

Okay, I'll give you that one. But what I MEANT was that the people who put DT over the top might be living on the other side of the world, and as such, it's not night time for them.

?

Let's do this, do NOT slack off during the weekend.  :police:

Exactly my thoughts. TBQH, as an Indian I feel DT are missing out not playing at least a couple of concerts here every tour. I'm sure a lot of the votes are coming from out here as well.

gentaishinigami

Sure feels like the majority of DT fanbase is outside the US. =/

Been reading comments on there again (oh boy) and laugh at the people knocking Masters of Metallica.  It was a pretty flawless live cover, but lack of a true second guitarist really kills the power, and ofc James is no James replacement.

... As long as Metallica's Facebook page doesn't post the link again.

I saw someone say they followed the link from Metallicas FB but voted DT haha.  Maybe it'll work to our favor...  I imagine only the really erm spirited metallica fans will care enough to spam vote, whereas seems like all us DTers are so guess that makes up the 10/1 ratio of fans we have going.

That happened with my ex-boyfriend yesterday, he was scrolling his Facebook news feed, saw the Metallica post, said "oh yeah I forgot to vote today" and clicked DT :lol

IdoSC

lol we really deserve a medal for that. A DT album is winning in a poll against one of those metal albums that everyone's painfully familiar with

Because there are things more important in a relationship than whether the other person listens to DT... but rest assured, there are not many things more important than that :rollin

Zook

Out of all the bands I listen to, my girlfriend likes DT the most. Actually, she said they're the only band she can really tolerate.

Translation:  Zook's hand likes to listen to DT.
