JLB is sometimes awkward with his banter on Score.

Before RTK, when he goes "We dug through....the DT....archives" in a very weird accent.

And in the end you can tell he forgot how to say Jamshied's last name.

"Thanks to Jamshied....Sharifi... and the Octavarium Orchestra"

lol you're looking into it too much. It was fine.

Yeah, that irks me a bit as well - I always thought that it was Jam Sheed, as a full name.  :lol

Some of these are very nit picky.

I wonder if DT and CP will play Lark's Tongues in Aspic Pt 2?

MrBoom_shack-a-lack

JLB gives some update regarding the DVD!

Apparently they are planning something unique for this DVD and have hired Mike Leonard who did the TSCO Documentary, so this should be interesting!  :)

Scorpion

I didn't know that CiM was no official DVD. :)

MoraWintersoul

Might I just say, I love the connection between Rich Chycki and DT.

I lol'd at the "last official DVD", but I have no problem with this attitude. Seriously, how many of us actually think of CiM when counting their DVDs? And if it's not just all talk, I'm looking forward to see this "step up from Score". Nekov, you're going to have to remember every bit of information, because I for one won't sleep peacefully if I don't spoil this for me as early as possible!

Really looking forward to this one, very curious about the special treats/setlist! One thing I don't understand though, JLB has mentioned in several interviews that Luna Park is a outdoors arena but I can't find any info on this, is this just a misunderstanding? I'm crossing my fingers for ACOS and ITPOE!

I'm planning to take notes of the setlist in my phone so I can spoil everyone  :)

Not sure why he is saying it's an outdoor venue cause it's not.

SeRoX

The reason JLB doesn't count CiM as their offical DVD is pretty understandable.

DarkLord_Lalinc

CiM always sounded like MP saying "OMG WE *NEED* TO RELEASE THIS..... FOR THE FANS.... CARPE DIEM.... " when it should have been almost fine to release it as an official bootleg.

It's funny to have JLB consider Score was their last official DVD lol.

"So, we're recording the DVD at... Luna Park, right? And Luna Park is an... outdoor venue, right?"

WheyWaffles

Just watched/listened to the JLB interview.  This is probably a foregone conclusion following the Budokan Blu-ray, but this will see a BD release as well, right?

I'm thinking it's similar to old people talking about a movie coming out on "tape" in 2001.

P.S. Where the fuck is the Score Blu-ray?  Did MP have one in the pipe?

I know, it's awesome. Good to know that LaBrie didn't just completely forget about him after Winter Rose.

Reflecting on it just now, I don't think I can point a finger at any musician JLB's ever worked with and say "this dude isn't cool". The Pirate makes some pretty nice connections.

DarkLord_Lalinc

I love that LaBrie really stepped up after Portnoy's departure. His role in the band is much bigger now, which is an awesome thing considering he is the frontman.

Yes! He confirmed this in a separate interview. Fellow interviewed him for... I think the Venezuelan DT fansite? "Absolutely," was the answer, anyway.

That's one of James' most used words.

It's just a matter of time.

Without the e :D

No one noticed my Spyro Gyra spin earlier  :'(

I did, and since it is my favourite JLB quote, it took over my second one (that you kindly quoted right now with the correct spelling) in my personal text beneath the avatar.  :)

I always stopped at your posts to read that out loud in his voice. Dear lord, aren't we a bunch of silly people.

Indeed we are, but the good kind of silly  ;)

Speaking of JLB's voice, do you feel that he could beat his own performance from Score on this new DVD? I hope so, and if he sings carefully the shows before the shooting, he may actually succeed.

goo-goo

James just tweeted that apparently Richard Chyuki is not going to be involved in the DVD.

Ouch, that's a hard one. I think 90% of Score beats almost 90% of their other live material in terms of vocals, so WELL DONE if he pulls that off. He's been really smart with his voice nowadays, and I hope he'll continue being smart and not try anything crazy in the shows right before the DVD shoot.

Kinda have a soft spot for Score because of JLB's vocals in particular, mostly because I don't like various parts of the vocal performance on LAB and WDADRU, and I dislike everything (save of the setlist) about CiM, so Score gets the most plays out of their newer DVDs. Whenever anyone tells me James can't sing nowadays, I simply point them to the UAGM performance there. But that was six years ago, so I'm pretty anxious to hear a proper recording of his current voice.

Not to mention a proper recording of all the other supposed stellar things. Gahh. I sometimes wish bands would go out and say "oh yeah, we kept it in secret but we totally recorded a show six months ago and you're getting the DVD tomorrow, break your piggy banks" :lol

@chycki By the way real sorry to hear u r not doing the DVD but I definitely understand you're situation. Take care Brutha.

What I find more disturbing is CJS mixing up "your" and "you're" :tdwn

It does sound like it's a product of a busy schedule or some time-devouring activity/important event, so I hope it's not anything bad.
