Killer setlist, as others have said. Caught in A Web, Ytse Jam, LTL, UAGM all in the same show? It's a classic DT extravaganza.

From what I've seen in the videos, JM isn't as static anymore as he used to be. He seemed fully immersed in the music, and moving along to it. Awesome. Also, his live sound doesn't seem to be as distorted as it was on the previous tour. I like that.

Found a great video of Under a Glass Moon! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6trdknWA5Tw

Great find. I'm absoultely surprised how JM cuts through in the mix. And MM is enjoying it immensely, as it seems.

I really hope the atmosphere is like that in Wolverhampton, the crowd is amazing! :metal

?

As I said in the other thread, the setlist rules! :metal Glad to see they're playing The Great Debate, These Walls and Ytse Jam again!

Ha! You can see the absolute joy on Mangini's face when he starts playing. Oh gosh, he really is amazing in this band.

Also the Inception music at the beginning is awesome. Makes me want to watch it again. There so could be a Yo dawg meme here:
"Yo dawg, I heard you like dreams. So we put music from a movie about dreams in Yo dream theater, so you can dream while you dream"

The Count of Tuscany (Dare I say it but Mangini plays this better than Portnoy IMO)

Learning To Live :omg:

If they come to Sweden I'm definitely going to see them. I must see LtL at least once before I die.

I saw that on the Octavarium tour, with an extended jamming section. :hat

I'm super, super excited for when they return to Sweden, playing more new songs from their CD! :metal

The Presence of Frenemies

TCoT gives us a good idea of the backing vocals question. They just omit Portnoy's growly parts.

King Postwhore

Great setlist and I can't wait to see what it will look like when the album comes out.  I'm glad TCOT is still on the setlist.

I found this to be a little bit better audio quality of On the Backs of Angels

Dream Team

oh my goodness oh my goodness what a setlist  :omg:. Of the songs I have yet to hear live, outside of A Change of Seasons the ones I most want are Learning to Live and The Great Debate. Please please JP bring these to the States . . . seriously, that's the best setlist since the 6DOIT tour. Also refreshing not to have PMU or Metropolis for once.

Melancholy side note: first ever DT show without MP behind the kit. The torch has officially been passed . . .

I notice they've reverted to the studio version of Fatal Tragedy, abandoning the slightly longer live version they played from LSFNY onwards.

My dream is to have a Dream Theater concert in Blu Ray.

:tup  The LTE Blue Ray kicks serious ass ;)  Even more so because I was at the show... :lol

chrisbDTM

interesting that they are playing the LSFNY cut scenes during LTL

CrimsonSunrise

Nice!!!!  I found it kinda weird though that they're showing all the SFAM clips on the vid screen during LTL.

I hope they don't pass St.Louis like they have since 2004. If they do I will be a sad panda.  :sadpanda:

I must see them!

When I lived there I used to have to go to Chicago to see them, now that I live in Chicago it all works out. So your answer is clearly to come to chicago and see the show with me.

Glad we worked that out.

Yeah I traveled 2,000 miles from my country o Chicago at '09 PN tour it was insane proly we'll see us there on this tour. :metal

Is it slightly sad of me to admit to enjoying sitting around with the thread constantly open pressing F5 to see what was played.

Just watching the footage now. Mangini is inhuman. I knew he was phenomenal but the drum solo blew me away. Learning to Live is awesome too. The F# is raw and vibrant, shame its quite short but I can't complain.

Dream Theater look tight, together and back on form.
